Originally posted by BacheLot View Posti suppose it looked nice to toy with amateur defenders, but that was actually a pretty dumb move to hold the ball up for defender to catch up (on a clear breakaway 1v1 with keeper) and then try to score the hard way by dribbling past him again to get a shot off..! a real striker woulda took that at the keeper and tucked it away inside the net fast and efficiently..!! a halfway decent defender in a more competitive match woulda dispossessed him and made him look a fool for squandering a golden opportunity..!!

If Masoud SHEGGAIE can score a hattrick there i am sure Enayati could have scored a dozen.
In all fairness credit must be given when it's due. His goals and in particular his second and 3rd. Goals were beautiful. I think PFDC overall has been a little unfair towards Shojaei.

Why all of a sudden they are amateur defenders?? If they are so amateur why didn't we smoke them in ACL last year?
Half of Al Saad plays for Qatars NT, so its pretty much the level we will be facing (at least in the group stages).
Just because Shojaei made them look foolish doesn't mean they are amateurs. I think people need to look up the definition of amateur before they use it in sentences.

I think one of our female footballers would have scored that dozen. Let alone enayati.

Only football forum on the planet where they analyse a hat trick and use it against the player.
I said during WCQ, on these forums you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. Shojaei playing well or not no longer matters. People have found a guy to zoom in on, and whatever he does will be spun into a negative.
We can win the Asia Cup and people will complain about the style in which we won. Just wait and see.
Shojaei scores a hat trick, the defenders and goalies were amateurs. I promise that if Masoud scored 3 screamers from distance people would say the goalie sucks at saving shots from distance.
Hey while we are at it, Messi only scored on us because he was given 0.5 seconds time too much.

I simply want to make sure that people don't get fooled by this hattrick.
And i disagree with the 3rd goal being beautiful. Absolutely not. A player with a common sense should never go for a dribble in that moment. It turned out good for him and we applaus for him.
But what if he failed there?

If he could score like that in TM, i couldn't care less how he did score. Screamer or blunder or with his beautiful hairs. But HE NEVER did. Not that anyone expect him to score a hattrick lol.
I would be fine if he simply could run fast and wouldn't lose the ball.
He scored a hattrick and i am really really happy for him.
But please don't make it sound like he dribbled 15 men in Ebrahim Tahami Style and scored with a bicycle from the middle of the pitch.
( I know you didn't say that but you get my point )IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

That 3rd goal was the worst one of them all IMO, that cut back was stupid and unnecessary as he was already 1v1 with the GK....no reason whatsoever to cut back on that shot! Would have been taken away in a heart beat from any decent defender!Team Meli Iran
