Celtic is still interested in hiring Iranian winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh.
According to a Dutch outlet Omroep Gelderland report, Celtic has had scouts in the Netherlands to keep a close eye on the performance of the NEC player during a wonderful season.
In late March, the Scottish club expressed its keenness to import the Iranian international.
In 2014/15 season, Jahanbakhsh netted 13 times and provided 18 goal assists for his Dutch team, with 12 goals and 17 assists coming in the league.
The Iranian footballer has only one year remaining on his current deal, indicating he has the chance to move to the Glasgow-based Celtic.
The broadcaster report added that NEC plans to sign a new contract with Jahanbakhsh.
AZ Alkmaar, a Dutch team, and the Belgian side Anderlecht have also targeted the 21-year-old player.
Jahanbakhsh played at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil for Iran and has 14 international caps.

''Hoops face competition for Iranian winger
CELTIC will also face competition from Belgian giants Anderlecht as well as a number of top Dutch sides in their race to capture Iran international Alireza Jahanbakhsh.
The 21-year-old winger, currently with NEC Nijmegen, has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances and helped NEC secure promotion to the Eredivisie.
But the Omroep Gelderland newspaper are reporting that while Anderlecht and AZ Alkmaar are keeping tabs on Jahanbakhsh, NEC coach Ruud Brood is hopeful of keeping the youngster at the Goffertstadion. (Inside Futbol)''
