If I'm not mistaken, NEC will already qualify for the promotion playoffs if they win today's game.

After 9 matches; so after the next game, the first ticket for the play-offs will be given to the number one, which will be Roda or N.E.C.

The season has just started. They have played 8 matches, so there still remains 30 matches.. Still a long way to promotion

Eerste Divisie has a different promotion playoff system than other leagues if I remember correctly from earlier posts. The top team in the 1st quarter of the season will automatically qualify for the 1st round of the playoffs, regardless of what happens in the rest of the season. Of course, they can still qualify directly by topping the table at the end of the season or automatically qualify for the 2nd round if they finish 2-5.

On a side note, As NEC will play against Almere..
Agil Etemadi played in KNVB Beker last Week against Ado Den Haag in 120 minutes they managed to play 2:2
and in Penaltys could score 2 times. I dont know If Etemadi saved all 4 Penalties of Ado Den Haag.

EDIT: On transfermarkt it means that he saved 2 Penalties.

I didn't see the complete highlights of Almere vs. ADO Den Haag, but at least one PK was shot over the bar, so he didn't really save all of the missed PK's.

I'm pretty sure Agil will not play against N.E.C. since he's not Almere's first gk in the league; he's mostly going to be used in the Dutch Cup.
