The reactions have been mixed. Especially in the beginning people were angry, as giving an elbow or standing on someones back would be very stupid to do just a few weeks before one of the most important matches of this season. But after people had seen what had happened, the direction of the anger changed to the ref.

I see. that's great to hear. Hopefully his name will get clear. I'm sure he is feeling terrible about what happened.

Alireza's ban is reduced to 1 game!

Alireza Jahanbakhsh 2 matches suspended whose first conditional

Monday Alireza Jahanbakhsh received a red card in the away game against Telstar. The prosecutor professional football suspended him for three games, one conditional. After n.e.c. appeal has gone against this imposition, the Disciplinary Committee has decided to suspend Jahanbakhsh two games, one conditional.

That means Jahanbakhsh Sunday against Achilles '29 is absent but next week against Roda JC can again be included in the selection.

That's good news! The game against Achilles N.E.C. will win anyway, with or without Alireza. It's the match against Roda that is crucial, so I'm glad he'll be available then.

In the interview Alireza says that he is happy that the suspension has been reduced and that he can play next week against Roda JC.

Promotion/relegation between the Jupiler League and amateur football has been impossible for many years. That will change during the 2016/17 season.
