Ahh, Karim so close, super save by the keeper denies him.

But he's got a goal in him today, he's playing well and confident. I hope he gets 90 mins, I think then he'll score.

Ansarifard basically started that chance with strong control in Osasuna's own end and a quick pass up to Nino.

The way he is playing he will score in the 2nd half.

Karim is technically better than both Gucci and Azmoun but his finishing is easily much worse than them

That means he is not a good striker.

Well for TM standards at the moment, yes, he is clearly not and we have younger as well as better strikers in the league.

Their new signing comes in on his first appearance/cap for Osasuna (came in for Karim) and scores. Osasuna leads 2-0

I feel that there's a good chance Karim gets released or sold back to PG leagues this summer unfortunately

                          Ansarifard won't go anywhere IMO.

New coach, new blood. The coach started him today not for nothing, he most likely sees something of value or else he wouldn't start a player he is uncertain about when they are fighting for relegation with a few games left.

Karim was a positive player today and my guess is that he will play more in these final few games than he did in the whole rest of the season.

If Osa survive (and I think they will), both Nekou and Ansarifard will stay IMO. Once a team goes into a downward spiral for a large part of the season, its tough to get back into form. Finish this season strong and start new next year. New season, fresh start !

Edit: If nothing more, it looks like KA would like to prove to himself he can compete in Europe. He is still relatively young. You never know, they could be playing in La Liga in 2 years.

Thank you for this post, I completely agree.

I think he was one of the better players today. It took one miraculous save from the GK to prevent him from scoring, this is something positive. He was pretty much active in almost every attack by Osasuna too.

Ansarifard has been playing in TM for the past 4 years. I don't understand how he gets the position, but someone like Kaveh Rezaei barely gets any chances.

Kaveh Rezaei just started having his first good season in the IPL, yet he is not even near competing to become the top scorer. Ansarifard pretty much destroyed the IPL at Kaveh's age, becoming the top scorer with 21 goals.
