IMO saeid had a very solid 2nd half. Chelsea had 1 effort on goal but scored 2 tough luck.

atletico madrid u19 have played better than this from the other times i tuned in to watch a bit even though saeid wasn't playing. they beat arsenal before this who have some of the best youth players as proven. atletico madrid choked today including their coach and team (especially the GK and defence) You could tell by their body language at the end of the game, they knew they messed it up because chelsea wasn't particular that impressive either.

saeid did as good as he could. although i agree he wasn't that great in 1st half. let's not be too critical. the kid's just 18 and playing/training in world class facilities and tournaments. he's gonna be an iranian legend. he fits in pretty well into youth european football (starting in an important CL game vs. Chelsea), this kid may become the best iranian-euro player there has been with they way he's started and going.

Agreed, Saeid has the potential to be a phenomenal player for Iran in couple of years and he did an amazing choice of moving to Ateltico at his age because now we know that he will have the absolute best conditions to maximize his potential.

The Sardar-JB-Saeid trio is going to be absolutely golden in the future, these three guys are going to grow/develop the European way as all of them moved there at young age, something that has never been done in the past. We shall see the result of it in a not too distant future hopefully.

Is he learning any Spanish I hope? He is at that age that can quickly pick up the language. Language barrier can always effect a player's overall situation in the country where he plays in.

damesh garm, playing full 90 at chelsea is an accomplishment. he definitely needs to learn spanish though.
