To my knowledge he rejected an october call up to play for his club team so he didnt care enough to be part of this squad. Whereas tim cahill, in a very similar position, put the nt first.Comment

Somehow khosro is deemed better than Steven.
Khosro either runs as fast as he can with the ball and when someone is about to close him down, he just cross the ball into the box with no clear target in sight. I don't know why people don't realise how crap he is.Comment

I am personally surprised he wasn't invited. I am not going to lie, i try to look above all the hate, deep down i don't know his true intentions but i am putting that aside and looking purely based on how I saw him perform for the Whitecaps this season and i think he should have been included if he is healthy. He is a surprisingly agile player, is smart, and very solid and simple in how he plays. Only thing he does need to work on, when giving constructive criticism is the fact that he does give attackers a bit too much space, but i guess that is his style, he kind of baits them into making a mistake. Regardless, he is a good player, clearly MLS world knows it. I think he is better than Heydari as RB (although i think Heydari just isn't a RB in general, more of a wing midfielder). Haven't seen enough from Vouria Ghafouri to say i am confident enough in him. And I really dont approve of Mahini's style, only person I would say is clearly better than Beitashour is Montazeri and he is injured, which is all the more surprising for me that steven wasn't invited.--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

The fact that some must jump into the Beitashour thread just to say "HA! I TOLD YA HE WASN'T A REAL IRANIAN!!" every time he is not invited is sad. Do you all have access to CQ to understand the reasoning for the exclusion? Or are you all just taking the wank and speculating and creating hashieh just like the Iranian bs media does saying "CQ and Khalatbari have love-child, friction between team!! Stupid CQ, he loves IPL players.. He is such an idiot, only reason he invited Heydari but not Beitashour is because CQ is biased and love our IPL players.
Heydari is one of the slowest player on all of TM (lolz), and his crosses are awful (even bigger lol)...
On a serious note, are you serious about crosses? Back when Estehglal had a forward who was great in air Esteghlal got a shitload of goals from Khosro's crosses. In the 09-10 season he had 13 assist, which is very impressive for a full back. In our game vs Qatar in Doha this wcq, two of our most dangerous chances came from two perfect crosses by Heydari. Last game vs South Korea, he had a very dangerous cross to Dejagah, I can't even count the amount of times the combination of his crosses and Majidi's headers soorakhed arab teams, and now you attack his crosses too? wow.. But I guess there is no idea arguing here, since these people are the same ones who don't even accept the other side's arguments when proof (statistics from FIFA) show up to back their claim. Some people I understand argue about Heydari, who also agree when they are proven wrong, but others (not you Afat11), bebakhshin,but it is pure garbage coming out of their mouth, since many of them are known to have an incredible amount of hate for Esteghlal and its players.
Just look at these videos, and then say again that he has awful crosses.

And I'm not saying that Heydari is our undisputed starter, I was very impressed by Ghafouri in our latest game, however Khosro for sure deserves to be in the squad.
Unfortunately PFDC has a lot of brainless members who read one member say something and start repeating it like a parrot. This time it started with a thread rugs created which was based on that he was slow
