The game vs guam is at home on a good pitch and doesn't haven the same other factors as the turkmenistan game. There would really be no excuse not to win by a significant margin.

what i was refereeing to is Kiarash saying he isnt a good defender and is a better offensive player. whoever that has seen more than 2 games of him would know that thats not true. you dont get selected as the best right back of MLS if you are not a good defender..you dont play in thr MLS all star game against chelsea if you arent a good defender..?
also Afat jan, just fyi steven started out playing soccer as a centeral midfielder. he is pretty versatile . can play LB, RB and in the midfield. he is just like khosro to be honest.
Think of the fact that the best right back of the MLS Beitashour has not been called up to Team Melli for over 1 year right now. He had 6 caps with TM and apparently CQ was not too impressed to give him further call-ups, right? Just the same situation with Davari.

He is simply not good enough to be in our squad, let alone starting eleven if he has't been called up to be our 3rd choice RB. Otherwise I am sure he would have made it alongside Ghafouri and Rezaeian who CQ believes to be better options at the moment.

I don't think anyone can argue these facts.

Beitashour is maybe one of the best rb's in the mls but let's not call him the best especially if you don't watch the league. I've seen Iraqis call Karrar Jassim the best player in the ipl without even watching or knowing any of players so let's not stoop to their level of ignorance.

I dont mind if he's invited again so he can be tested but I doubt that he will ever be a starter for Iran. You never know though, let's see if CQ thinks he's good enough to be back in the squad.

He hasn't been called back as a RB Kiarash jaan. SA is talking about calling him up as a LB.

Let's face it, our options right now (CQ's top picks) are the never hungry, always injured Beikzadeh who was a disaster against Sweden and Haj Safi who's not really a defender - nor does he need to do any more damage to prove it.

Frankly, I think playing HS in the LB position is killing his career, but what do I know. Also, assuming Pouladi's situation is going to get resolved in the next two months is being overly optimistic, if not unrealistic or even insane and frankly, I don't know who in their right mind would take a 2nd division Qatar player over a US 1st division player.

Let's face it, Qatar has never made it to the WC with their QSL players and US has made the knock-out rounds of the WC 4 out of the last 6 times with 2/3rd or more of their players being in, or having been in the MLS.

It's almost a no-brainer to at least give the kid another try for the LB position after that disaster in Turkmenistan we called a football game.

i dont disagree with this post. when he was the best RB of MLS , it was 3? 4 years ago i think? thats when he was killing the game. then he got injured, then another injury. now he is finding his old self again. i agreed when CQ didnt call him up because he was either always injured or rusty right after an injury. now he deserves a call up because he has been playing pretty great soccer. what i disagree with was ur statement in ur last post. you clearly have not seen enough games from the kid to make assumptions and think ur right.

i said he "was", was being the key word. there is also proof! MLS all star game. right now in this moment he is not the best RB in the MLS, he is up there but not the best. trust me, i watch the league .

Well between 2011-2014, Beitashour provided more assists than any defender in the league. He was an All-Star in 2012, played the full game in the 3-2 victory over a full-strength Chelsea team.

This recent season with Vancouver, 2014-2015, has been his only off year in his career it seems. But as others have said, he is definitely not a bad player, nor has he ever been one. He's just had injury issues over the last year, but is getting back into the groove. I think CQ didn't invite him because until recently, Beita hasn't been consistently healthy. I think Beita will be included in the next TM list, personally.

I think he could be used against Guam since he plays in the MLS.

                        JULY 30, 2015 12:00 AM

The Vancouver Whitecaps were in the Harbour City on Wednesday as part of the fourth annual Hope and Health program.

More than 400 Aboriginal children were at Beban Park fields for a day of soccer fun, which saw Whitcaps players Steven Beitashour, Pa-Modou Kah, Tim Parker and former captain Jay DeMerit all come out to provide some tips and insight.

The program's goal is to build connection, wellness and resilience among Aboriginal youth through a soccer environment and sees the Whitecaps team up with the Hope and Health for Life Society, as well as Aboriginal delegated child and family agencies Kw'umut Lelum and Lalum'utul' Smun'eem.

Beban Park was split up into numerous small sided fields for teams to play, with various Whitecaps players and staff circulating around to meet everyone in attendance.

"It's grown from 10 First Nations communities to over 25, so that's really exciting," said Deana Gill-Georgica, Hope and Health for Life Society chairperson. "The purpose of Hope and Health is to raise awareness and inspire health and wellness for Aboriginal children and youth. Soccer is the platform, but it's really about profiling these kids' heroes and getting to know them on a personal level and build relationships. All those players have overcome adversity to achieve their dreams."

The program also has an emphasis on physical and mental health conditions.

"It's a great program they've got going on," said Iranian international right back Beitashour.

"They asked us to come out and it was an easy answer for us.

"Any time you can give back to the community and the kids, I think it means a lot to them. We were in their shoes at one time." Beitashour also said "times were changing" within the Whitecaps organization which now consistently looks for different avenues to reach out to various communities across B.C."

Posts like this are why I hate PFDC. Such a circle jerk against Beitashour, when anything is posted about him, there's some random voice popping in to say he is not good.

Truly sad people are that low. Why don't you pop into the other player threads and say "Hajsafi>>Mohammadi Anyday!!!!"

It's just wasteful comments trying to bring people down to bring yourself up for the day.
