Steven Beitashour @ Vancouver Whitecaps | 2014-2015 - NEW
I don't mind anyone arguing Heydari's capabilities positive or negative. Just don't throw immature nonsense in between.
Comparing, criticizing a player's abilities (Heydari) to criticizing what a player feels or doesn't feel in his heart based off media reports(Beita) is very different. Maybe your "agenda" doesn't let you see that.
Thank you to both Camran and rugs for ending this "debate." It's really nothing to even debate anymore as Beitashour has not even been invited.
For the future though, I think everyone on this forum should keep in mind that bashing any Iranian player's quality, whether in IPL or as a legionnaire does nothing for them.
Giving Ansarifard constructive criticism to leave IPL is alright. These comments will motivate a player to strive for better.
Dissing a player trying their hardest who is in bad form, whether it be Heydari or Davari does nothing for TM. EVERY, and I mean every, player in the world has their flaws.
A guy like Azmoun will develop better if he does not have the usual Iranian brigade on his ass every time he makes a mistake. The reason guys like Ansarifard don't reach their potential is the immense pressure we put on our TM players.
How about we say, go Heydari, play like a Lion in Australia. If Beita or Davari ever get called up again, why not say, go guys, and help our team win, instead of "do they really even want to be here???"
The more you question people and put them down, the less motivation they will have. It's human nature.
I hope Heydari regains his form, and drops some killer crosses into the box for Shojaei to head into the top shelf, and they each score in bunches.
Telling these guys they suck going into the tournament after they've already been called to the final squad will do NOTHING for TM.
So seriously, we should end this debate once and for all.
Heydari and Beitashour each have strengths and weaknesses over the other. You cannot compare them, as they are two different types of players. Heydari is more offensive, probably more of a wing-back/mid-fielder, while Beita is a more defensive classic Right-Back. Their weaknesses stem from their playing styles. Beita is too defensive and leaves space on occasions with the attacking strikers or wingers. Heydari is great on runs and passes, but can sometimes get himself trapped and make bad passes or crosses.
It's fine guys!! We are Iran, not Brazil. We cannot demand every player to be Messi. Maybe soon with the likes of Azmoun, Jahanbakhsh and Ezzatollahi, we can be more picky, but at the moment, our talent pool is thin. Complaining that Shojaei got called up instead of Mohamad Nouri doesn't do anything for TM other than harm it at this point. The list is set and Masoud is there and likely going to play.
Also, don't forget that Nouri has also had bad games for TM which is why he was fazed out.
In the long-run, just keep in mind that all of our players have flaws. Every single one, even Dejagah ad Gucci. Don't nitpick, come on these boards and boast about our players.
It will intimidate our competition and will give our players that extra motivation that they know that we are behind all of them. We want the Asian Cup back in Iranian possession where it belongs.
lol haven't watched the video yet. Beitashour at Grouse Mountain. When I was in Vancouver, I hiked this mountain on a bi-weekly basis. Funny seeing Beitashour there.
^ I wanted to post it as well. Now everyone stop giving injury excuses, he wasn't selected because he was not good enough and we had better players in Iran.

This. Appearently Beitashour simply doesn't cut it, so he is out of Team Melli.
And now we see that CQ does not have a bias against IPL players at all (some believed CQ preferred foreign based players).
Davari and Beitashour, both players abroad were not in the Asian Cup.
Vouria is definitely better than him but with montazeri more than likely retiring I can't think of more than 1-2 right backs that I'd put ahead of him. Whatever CQ chooses I'm cool with.
