I see now why CQ didn't invite him. He's a good player and I support him, but it seems he is dangerous defensively on occasion and that scared off CQ.

I hope both him and Davari will improve in the coming months and can rejoin TM to help us. I have a feeling Davari will reemerge in quality after his move back to 2 Bundesliga.

I believe when CQ was doing the invitation Beitashour was injured so that may have been why he wasn't invited

I heard that too, but I think that Beitashour had returned from that injury and played an MLS game after the initial list was released, but before the actual camp had begun. I think he was capable of being invited at that point. Anything is possible, but I think CQ not inviting Beita or Davari has more to do with their current form for their teams than injury or anger towards them (some people suggested Davari was dropped for missing Asian Cup camp for his baby's birth).

I think Beita had 2 remarkable seasons with San Jose before the World Cup, but after his move to Vancouver, he has become less of a star and more of an okay MLS player. He hasn't really been remarkable in the league like he was when he was an MLS all-star. I won't sit here and be like clipsport and say the guy is horrible or trash or whatever, but I will note that he's not where he once was. I hope that he gets back there and can become one of the MLS's best defensive players and can help TM. I hope the same for Davari in 2 Bundesliga.

the second PK, ok there is a push and hold but we have seen way worse!! i guess it really all about who the reff is!
            what a sexy cross tho.

The first PK is a foul, similar to what happened to Dejagah in the Iran-Argentina game, but it's outside the 18 yard box if you pause at 0:58 seconds. And the second one isn't a PK at all. I haven't seen a referee who would actually call a penalty on such minimal contact lol

Yeah, but such a pinpoint assist!!

I agree, and I also hope he performs (and Davari) and to see them gain top form and be invited to TM again soon

After Ghafouri basically granted Turkmenistan a goal, any competition for the right back position is welcome.

I would put Rezaeian above Beitashour though. He was great at Rahahan this year.

Agreed the first was a stonewall penalty but the 2nd clearly wasn't. It's a contact sport, it's okay to jostle a little ref! But what a beauty of a cross by Steven, great accuracy.

                          It was. I was there!
They opened every drink we bought before handing it to us. It reminded me of the thread in the general forum about the muslim woman on the plane.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Neither were really penalties. The first was outside of the box and the guy sort of flopped, and the second was the most laughable call ever in a skirmish inside of the box during a corner kick. Also, his team won and he had an awesome assist, so it's probably deserved.
