Team Omid in China (how sad)

Here is another IFF fiasco with the Omid team in china. They have 7 people per room without descent food, no air conditioning, mattresses on the floor, no internet and one shower for all seven of them. Khanzadeh says we have not had any protein for days and our bodies are lacking proper energy. Why are we putting these kids through this?

    Y. Karimi has also been vocal about the facilities. He says we are living on fruits and cookies. WTF.

I am looking for some pics that I saw yesterday but I can't find them. If anyone has them can you please post it? Thanks.

are they eating fruits and cookies because they dont like the food in china or because they have no money? some of these players make pretty decent money so i dont understand how they are going hungry...

^^It's probably the former. Iranians inside Iran have very low adaptability when it comes to food. They are not adventurous at all & most of them don't even like sea food other than sabzi polo mahi & the fish has to be white fish & has to be fried or grilled. I can see how these guys are starving if they didn't take a chef with them. Picky eaters & naz nazi millionaires. having said that a country that sits on so much oil & natural resources should afford to take a chef with them & stay at a nice hotel.

In US the youth teams always travel and stay together with several in one room. They actually like this as they get to bond as a team. I have no comment about lack or quality of food.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

The problem is not just their food. The hotel that they are staying in resembles an unfinished house and has zero amenities (according to one of the players).

Yes 2-3 per room not 7!!

Also I don't think professional sportsman are gonna go out to eat when at a tournament. You HAVE to have a chef with you.

If you read the interview Yaghoob says the food either smells or it's haram. I'm guessing TM's care takers in China aren't letting them eat anything that's not been approved. Hilarity ensues. Top level athletes surviving on crackers.
