CQ himself said that the WC was enough punishment and that if he stayed on he'd re-invite Rahmati. I personally would prefer Haghighi/Davari just because they have more upside, but I wouldn't be surprised if he invited Rahmati.

In my opinion IFF did the right thing to have performance clauses in the contract. I would do the same too. The main benefit of this extension is continuity but continuity of mediocrity is not to be tolerated. For me results have the highest value. Carlos had Iran at the cusp of 2nd round qualification playing an already eliminated and so-so Bosnia, a team that was beaten by Nigeria and Argentina...two teams that either could not beat Iran or did so in ET. Instead TM brought its -C- game to the field. To me anything less than an appearance in the AC final will amount to a fail.

Yep. According to this our goal for 2018 is the same as 2014...just to qualify: http://www.persianfootball.com/news/...-says-queiroz/

Of course, again by not really diving into AC, we are saying AC is not important or worthy of our attention and hence let's downplay it as we could care less about AC. I will be pissed off if our goal is to lose aberoomandaneh in 2018.

                        that is bunch BS anyway.
Iran hasnt won the AC in 40 years,it is time to win the damn thing and ocnsequently get in the 2017 confederations cup as well.
winning the AC 2015 is nothing but a positive must for TM,IFF and Queirosh.
So it is very important to win the cup

If CQ was good, somebody would have scooped him up right after the World Cup.

just like how iranian players were scooped up by top european teams?
