There was still no thread on this case. So why is it, according to you, that our players havent been transferred to Europe? Except for Ansarifard, who basically joined Osasuna because of Nekounam's connections.
I'm interested to know what plays a role in our players not being interesting enough for European scouts even when we had a decent World Cup for our standards. We held Nigeria 0-0 and showed a solid defensive performance while we were almost close to beating Argentina with all their world class players. Yet, not a single player who played that day got signed by an European team while we were expecting at least 2-3 players going to Europe. Even Honduras had NT players getting transferred to Europe after the WC like Brayan Beckeles to Boavista at the age of 28.
I found 1000 of reports how the world think about our football level. i will post just one here maybe some fans will wake up at last.

Google translation: Iran against Nigeria: Was it perhaps the worst championship game ever?
A world championship is something good for the football fan. You can learn about foreign teams and countries. Sometimes the football but also shows its ugly face.

You asked us not to base our impressions of TM on one game (Argentina) yet that's what you are doing here. Based on this game is Nigeria also a horrible team?
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.
Iranian Players have to transfer to Europe ASAP.
Otherwise it makes no sense to sign them for the European Clubs. But there are Problems too when a young player wants to go to europe, sarbazi etc
They have to be really good and the club have to be intrested a lot to make such a move possible.
No!! Im hoping its became clear why we send over 13 young players to the 1.Bundesliga ,Chammpionsleage, Euro Cup ,before and after the wc 98.
And why no one of this clubs want our players before and after the wc 2014.
German Clubs have a very good relationship with Iranian players.
I just posted the main reason why Bundesliga Clubs Or any other eu Clubs want our sh.. players.
Because of our good performance in the world cup2014 we did send 60 % of our tm players to arab liga. also eurpean based player like
Ashkan and Gucci. What's this?
As Siavash and PrinceofPersia1 said, the two factors are huge salaries in Iran, Qatar or Kuwait. Also for those who would want to go to Europe sarbazi is an issue.
What I'm surprised about is why Iranian footballers don't go to Japan, Korea or Uzbekistan? All clubs in Japan are worthy and I would say half of Korea's clubs.
In Uzbekistan, Bunyodkor, Pakhtakor, Nasaf, Neftchi, Lokomotiv are good clubs.
The reality is our players are too lazy to work there ass off to earn the Euro, our top players get paid triple what they would playing in Europe and only exert 1/3 of the effort to get paid triple the amount.
Plus another huge barrier for us is Language, its hard to communicate with players if you cant speak to them. So European clubs look else where so the managers can communicate to their players.
Saying we lack talent is a very stupid remark, their is an abundance of talent in Iran but the problem is we don't know/or cant provide the adequate resources to develop this talent.
Iran really needs to start building bridges to clubs in Europe to send young lads off for further development. Not only would they get better training, but they will also get the experience of playing in a different league with a different style.
Must be Gen Y Syndrome, because back in 1990s our footballers were not lazy so many were in Europe: Khakpour, Shahroudi, Daei, Azizi, Bagheri, Mahdavikia, Minavand, Mansourian, Pashazadeh, Majidi, Yazdani, Torabian, Latifi, Serjik Teymourian, Hashemian and those who went post 2000 ... Emamifar, Mahdavi, Rezaei, Samereh and others.
Sports in Europe for the most parts are a meritocracy. If you really deserve it, you can go as far as your potential will take you. The reality is that Iranian players in recent years just haven't been good enough. I don't believe they even have offers from Europe. Most of the stories you hear are players and their agents making shit up. I suggest everyone look at the interview Kia did with 90 about the root causes of the troubles with Iranian youth teams.
It starts around 1:26 mark http://footballitarin.com/video_page.php?id=12038
Our players aren't that good compared to the old days. We relied on Dejagah and Gucci at the WC but Dejagah wasn't a full-time starter for the worst team in EPL and Gucci struggled in the English 2nd tier and Belgium. In 2006 We had much better talents.
stop paying them the money that they do not deserve in IPL and watch how they will start moving to abroad. sure many will try to go to Arab leagues but once they quota for those teams have been met, most will try to go to europe.

I don't think Language has anything to do with that. If the player is good enough he can play pretty much anywhere he wants even if he doesn't speak a word of any language. Look at Kagawa, he was in Germany for 2 years and in UK for 2 years and he doesn't speak a word of english or german.

The problem was that this Iran-Nigeria game was the real 1st boring game of the world cup after very high quality game just before (Spain 1/5 Holland, Portugal 0/4 Germany, Italy 2/1 England, etc...) and 1st goaless match. The same game later in the competition wouldn't have this so negative impact.
And after this first game, Nigeria did much better : they beat Bosnia, showed a spectacular game with Argentina (scoring 2 goals), played 1/8 of final against France where they weren't ridiculous (lost at the end). At the same time, we did a good game against Argentina, and was kick out of the competition by Bosnia in the anonimity.
Having saying that, i don't think Nigerian players got new contract to Europe after the WC
