Why do our players seldom transfer to Europe?

    Simple.
    Money.
    European clubs don't want to spend big money on players who have yet to be proven. Especially if they're not EU citizens. Iranians don't want to play for low pay. Basically no compatibility financially.
    In the 90s even our best players didn't make much money in Iran that's why they would go to Europe.

      ^ Absolutely spot on. That's also why so many African players are signed. They are willing to start off with very low pay.

        This is a good point. I believe, we are genetically slow. Our football talent shines where we play the street style of soccer. But where the speed and agility becomes a factor we really don't have it in us. Now combine this with the current situation in Iran, where players get paid a lot for their mediocre performance. No one in EU or elsewhere is interested to pay for that.
