      This is not surprising.
So if this holds, we should expect Hadi Aghili to get an invite too...

Still can't forget that blunder he made in the ACL for SS against that Arab team. Coming out to grab it but falling out of his hands lol

If CQ finds him to be a top 3 keeper at the camp, definitely keep him. If he fails to do well, then cut him. It's simple and I'm sure he learned his lesson.

Can anyone tell me the specifics of what he did to get cut after the Uzbek game? Ik he was pooru and put himself above the team but what exactly did he do?

No! Aghili is just not TM material. His style of hoofball has never impressed me.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

He basically "retired" after the uzbek game and before our 3 crucial games! he basically left the team to suffer.

CQ already said if he stayed rahmati would be back in TM, but i dnt believe he will be our number 1, we have davari and haghighi in europe now, plus after asian cup , there is no more competition till world cup qualification and i dnt think rahmati will be iran number 1 any more. he is done, but cq WANT him to be in TM abit more

He's far better than Haghighi. I was not impressed with Haghighi during the WC. He kept his wits about him against Argentina but he also had 11 players fill his box so there wasn't much for him to do (his collecting the through ball to Higuain in the first half was impressive though). He really shit the bed against Bosnia. I'd take Rahmati all day.

Haghighi is better on all fronts. He has a professional attitude at least, something we can't say about Rahmati. He is far more confident when it comes down to aerial balls too, Rahmati is pathetic on set pieces and during our WCQ he was always beaten on that. The fact he is 31 and joined a soorakh Peykan team says enough about him. Alireza is only 26 and playing in Portugal's best league, I would take Haghighi over Rahmati any day.

The only thing Rahmati was good at are reflexes but that's it. We don't need Rahmati.

LOL...this made me laugh. As if we wouldn't have parked the bus with Rahmati in net, because Rahmati is stretch armstrong or something supernatural that would need no defensive help against the likes of Argentina.

That was pure luck, go watch that scene again... i bet you out of 10 times Higuain will score 9 through Haghighis legs.

oh the luck excuse. thats a pretty BS excuse to use in soccer, you could pretty much say anything that ever happens in a game is luck but in reality, you know its not. those players are out there doing deliberate actions

he has a real difficult time judging the flight of high balls sent in his box and his exit timing is horrendous..!!
Goal-kicks are shitt, his distribution speed, power and accuracy is average and his leadership , professionalism and character still leaves much to be desired ..!

in every other other aspect of keeping he is far superior to our other GK options, especially in reflexes..!

I bet you Iran has 9/10 chance to win the World Cup. It just happens that we fall on that 1/10 part every time

I was worried about Haghighi as our starter, but after seeing him in the world cup, Haghighi>>>>>>>>Rahmati, especially since Rahmati is not as good as he used to be, besides, none of the goals he conceded was his fault, PERHAPS he could've done a little better on the third goal vs Bosnia, but that's it.
