It's funny how if many of us were not Iranian, and we were asked if IPL is a decent league, most of us would scoff at it. The majority of the world's fans rate our league lower than Saudi, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean leagues. They have a reason to as well, since our clubs haven't done anything of note in recent history except being runners up to a cup around 5 years ago.

You sound really dense and juvenile when you insult other leagues, especially in countries like England. Our players are struggling to fit in in lower European leagues and clubs, and people like you sit on some throne like we're the shit. We're not and you should recognize that some of our players on TM currently would not be shoe-ins for even 2 Bundesliga squads, let alone the EPL, which is the most famous and competitively recognized league in the world. People act like we are just outside of EPL in terms of quality, organization, and investment, while we are likely closer to Iraqi league at the moment. Let's move ahead of J-League, K-League Chinese and Saudi leagues, then we will laugh and scoff at English 4th division. If you think our players would go and crush League Two at the moment, you are likely wrong. They would do well and shine in that league, but that league is not total trash in comparison to us. We are closer to League 2 than EPL with the current IPL system. If you think IPL is close to the championship, then you don't really watch football. IPL is closer to League 1 (3rd division of England) quality. If anyone disagrees, tell me if Charlton, Blackburn, or QPR would fare better or the current shitshows at Perspolis, Naft or Foolad.

If we have a league comparable to 3rd division England and this guy is playing at a level of 4th division with a possibility of joining the 3rd, he's not a far fetched option. You are just being ridiculous thinking we are amazing when our best striker Gucci can't even score in the Championship more than rarely. Be reasonable and stop sounding so backhanded and rude.

I don't think talent has everything to do with it. Couple years ago we had Dejagah put stellar performances in the EPL only to run away to Qatar and fuck it up. Ali Adnan of IRAQ made it to Serie A for God's sake so how can you tell me Iran is that bad at playing football? IPL is garbage I admit that but I think our players are better than this...... or at least a handful of them.

Ali Adnan joined Udinese, a team that will likely struggle to prevent relegation this season. Not to mention he probably just got in because the owner is apparently Iraqi. And Dejagah's Fulham was relegated to England's FL Championships, so I think Afat is right.
