the reason Clubs are smaller than national teams is that clubs usually have 2-3 stars but a national team should have at least 11 best players from the same country and style of play. but one good thing is that the stars in a club could totally be from another place, but you usually get a better feel of one style when you play against a national team than a club as a club plays much differently than national teams in competitions.

as an example, Manchester United and England national team are totally different animals. :-) so if you are preparing for playing with England, you cannot learn anything by playing against Manchester.

Never worth it to play a club team for one simple reason. Players make their bread and butter playing for their clubs. Any player who risks himself to injury in a friendly against a national team for that matter is an idiot. You will never get a good effort when playing a decent club team in a friendly...At least when we are talking about good European/S. American clubs. Of course, if you play the Orlando Pirates in S. Africa then you get an inferior opponent to begin with so the effort no matter how good doesn't mitigate the poor talent (not to mention the inferior facilities as well).

If Hong Kong could land Argentina for a friendly, no reason Iran couldn't get a semi decent national team opponent...I mean what are we paying CQ 2.5 million for? What are we saving our FIFA WC money for? The present looks terrible, the future even worse (U 19 lost to Thailand!)...football in Iran is going backwards and no one is even attempting to stop the slide!

Why are these games at the worst possible times for people who live in North America?? First the u19 game and now this.... The game starts at 4:00 a.m CT. Thats too late to stay up and too early to wake up.

I prefer clubs to national team for Iran. We have a lot of difficulties to have friendlies with national teams, we should have other ideas to improve.

Clubs are stronger than national teams, as they players play together everyday. Plus National team make so much test in a friendlies than the level of testing isn't that high.

A good club of one of the top team without many international players is a good idea.

You are the first fan who prefer its national play against club teams. Almost all fans agree that playing against national teams that are stronger than us or around our level are a lot better. national teams are classier to play against club teams.

we do not have to much difficulty to organize friendly matches against national teams that are around our level like New-Zealnd, Uzbekistan, Korea, Australia, Costa Rical, second Tier african national teams, etc. CQ does not want that most times. He should not have quit after WC IMo but it did not happen.

One question: You said you prefer clubs. based on that, suppose we have two options for November playing against senior South Korea national team or one of top South Korea clubs (Top South Korean clubs > average or below average Portuguese clubs) which one do you prefer? I would be surprise if you say South Korean club. which one do u prefer now?

Ahhhhh ahhhhhh ahhhhhhh baba cheghadr negh mizanid. playing against sporting Lisbon and other teams in good leagues is better than playing against Iraq or China. Club teams are training with each other 2 times a day the entire season. If you compare the champions league with World Cup so is cm have much better Quality the wc.
