Te lo cuenta @jagimenezmarca en @marca Hossein Hedayati From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Hossein Hedayati Born January 1, 1963 (age 51)Tehran, Iran Residence Tehran, Iran Citizenship Iranian Occupation Founder, Chairman and CEO of Steel Azin Iranian Holding Co.Owner of Steel Azin F.C. Net worth US$2.5 billion B Hossein Hedayati is an Iranian business tycoon owner of the Steel Azin Iranian Holding Co. who most notably purchased Steel Azin F.C. and invested into Persepolis F.C..[1] Football[edit] Hrepayati gained popularity among a large group of football fans in Iran, after joining the board of directors at Persepolis F.C. which saw him invest large sums of money into the Persian giants. He was also the owner of Steel Azin F.C., which he had purchased in2007. While always a controversial figure for his unknown background, he transformed a relegation threatened team into a second tier side full of national team stars. It also included Ali Karimi who was often the cause of trouble at the club. Following a dispute with the then team CEO, Sardar Hajilou, Ali Karimi was puniched for an indefinite time, and placed on the transfer list. Hedayati was against the sacking of Ali Karimi in 2010.[2] His investments were seen as advertisement, before a looming privatization of Persepolis F.C.. It never materialized though, and he soon left the board of directors, sighting "strategic differences" with fellow members. Steel Azin F.C. was later relegated from the premier league. Often dubbed as the "Abramovic of Iran", Hedayati, purchased Malavan F.C.in 2012, but gave up control before the season was over. During the same time, he made a t akeover bid for Gahar Zagros, which caused for controversy, as he would become the owner of two teams in the same league. He later withheld the offer.
