Given that we don't have a concrete/must have 3rd choice keeper, I think it is definitely worth it to give agil a shot as he seems to be in pretty good form. I'd be pretty surprised if he doesn't get a call up to TM with in the next year or so.

According to an interview with Gol Bezan from Twitter it is reported that Etemadi is being watched by CQ for a possible TM call up.

Strange considering that we already have at least 3 GK's who play in a better league than Etemadi...

how is this strange? this notion that playing in a better league has been proven time and time again that it doesnt mean anything when we are talking about comparisons of players

as i mentioned before.....after haghighi and beiranvand there is no clear cut 3rd choice keeper. we have a ton of talented keepers but etemadi IMO has been the most impressive the last few months of the season. there is nothing strange about this at all

If he wants to be our 3rd GK he should find a better team than Almere City with all due respect.

Davari can be our 3rd choice if he has a good season in a much stronger league like 2.Bundesliga IMO

this is extremely flawed logic....davari had a horrendous stint with grasshoper and because he is on a newly promoted 3. bundesliga side you are giving him an edge over etemadi who performed very well for almere city? no shot in hell would that make any sense....

etemadi is just fine in almere city for now, id rather see a mid table jupiler league GK who plays very well for his team as our 3rd choice keeper than one who commits sooti after sooti for a 2. bundesliga or a swiss side.

JB played in jupiler league and shapourzadeh played in the 2. bundesliga.....would you ever think to compare the two? i think that comparison should clear up the comparison you are trying to make

Difference is that Davari has more experience than Etemadi having played one full Bundesliga season and he was at a World Cup too, while Etemadi has been 1st choice at Almere City only recently. He had impressive performances but his career overall leaves a lot to be desired, and I feel like Davari was not given a fair chance. In front of him were always playing B defenders like Alenemeh and so forth. Davari has probably shown more than Etemadi therefore he has more caps than him for Iran.

I think both Etemadi and Davari can be considered for our next matches as our 3rd Gk. Etemadi is looking good based on his latest form but like Kiarash said if Davari has some good games with his new team he should be invited as well.

If we get a scenario in which Haghighi gets constantly benched in Russia and Davari starts getting consistent games, the ranking of Gks can completely change at some point, but Before anything I think Beiranvand deserves a shot at being our 1st keeper in few games

Haghighi's spot in TM is definitely not secure, his last games have been shaky to say at least and if he doesn't improve then Beiranvand can snatch his spot right away.

We are fortunate to have this much competition for our goal keeping position, surely the strongest and best keeper will emerge, knowing that they have to constantly stay on top of their game if they want to keep their spot. This will only create better keepers for our national team (and hopefully push people like Beiranvand to Europe if the opportunity does ever arise).

Etemadi had a good season from what I saw / heard, he should be invited. Davari had a terrible season with Grasshoppers but he is more comfortable in Germany and hopefully will regain his form. Haghighi has been solid for most of his TM games, but he has shown some weakness, he had a decent season in Europe although his team was very crappy, lets see if he can perform in Rubin finally. And lastly, Beiranvand had a great season with Naft but he showed with some blunders that he is still growing, he is young, extremely talented and has a lot of potential, I have high hopes for him as well.

Apparently Heerenveen is interested in Etemadi. Can a Dutch member confirm?

That would be interesting to see him back at his old club....I doubt he would want to go back though. At this point in his career he wants to play which won't be likely at heerenveen, or rather definitely not anywhere near his deal at Almere City where he's earned himself a 1st choice spot after a real strong second half of the season.

They seem to be interested but there is nothing concrete so according to that site it is likely that he is staying.

His team is back in the race for promotion to the Eredivisie again...they just won 4-1 against FC Emmen in the Quarter Finals of the play-offs. Etemadi has been the captain of the team. Highlights:

Would be fantastic for him to have a shot in the eredivise. He seems to be playing pretty well based on highlights I've seen on his Instagram
