The Fight For TV Rights in Iranian Football

As you all know the IFF has refused to allow IRIB cameras into the stadium to film and broadcast games.
IFF claims that IRIB makes millions off of the games and they are entitled to some of the revenue. That is why club games are not being broadcast and won't be until an agreement is made.

To me, IFF is right on this. One of the most important steps in privatization of football is that clubs have income from TV rights. Most professional clubs make the majority of their money from TV.

The only issue is that the product our league delivers is so poor that there doesn't be too many complaints from viewers about the lack of coverage!

I only think Queiroz will not be happy, not being able to analyze each game that he cannot physically attend. However, he once mentioned that he asked IFF to install their own private cameras during each game and zoom on particular players etc...
But for sure he cannot see all the games.
So, while these people start a fight RIGHT NOW during the season, instead of have started their debates during off season, our TM coachig staff will suffer.

IRIB has been using and abusing our football. These people don't even know how to properly generate big income from sports and in particular football, even their TV commercials and how they run the advertising materials and spots sucks. A bunch of imbeciles running the country and this is the result!
Not only IRIB does not pay nearly the fair amount to IFF, but also by the live broadcast of top European/world football they turn public away from attending stadiums or furthermore following domestic football.

Solution:

Just sell the TV broadcast rights to a professional foreign broadcast channel. Apparently Dubai Sports channel is willing to pay 250 milliard Toman to buy the broadcast rights, then we will have the pleasure of watching the matches in HD quality, with great coverage and football analysis etc. IRIB would and could never match such quality and generosity!

وی در مورد شکست مقابل تراکتورسازی در لیگ در چند روز گذشته گفت: بازی*های لیگ با جام حذفی تفاوت دارد. آن مسابقه لیگ بود و تمام شد. هر بازی شرایط خاص خودش را دارد. ما روی این مسابقه در جام حذفی با تراکتورسازی متمرکز شده*ایم.

سرمربی سایپا در مورد اینکه اگر چه در این بازی میزبان هستند اما تماشاگرشان کمتر از تراکتورسازی است و چه انتظاری از فوتبال دوستان کرجی دارد، گفت:* ما به همان ۱۵۰ تماشاگری هم که کنار ما هستند افتخار می*کنیم و از حضور آنها در ورزشگاه به خودمان می*بالیم.

جلالی در مورد اینکه حمید درخشان بعد از باخت به سایپا از سرمربی سایپا خواسته بود منصفانه صحبت کند، گفت: صحبت*های درخشان درست بود اما من هیچ کجا نگفتم که پرسپولیس بد بازی کرد. در کل بازی با کیفیتی بود و هر دو تیم موقعیت*های گلزنی داشتند اما مالکیت توپ ما بیشتر از پرسپولیس بود.

سرمربی سایپا در مورد پخش نشدن فوتبال از تلویزیون گفت: این مسئله نمی*تواند یک اتفاق بلندمدت باشد. شاید این اتفاق هر چقدر طولانی*تر شود به ضرر تلویزیون تمام خواهد شد. ممکن است در کوتاه مدت فوتبال با چالش*هایی مواجه شود اما در درازمدت این مسئله بیشتر به ضرر تلویزیون خواهد بود. بهتر است صدا و سیما در این زمینه پیشقدم شود. در گوشه و کنار این کشور از کردستان و ایلام گرفته تا سیستان و بلوچستان عاشقان فوتبال زیاد هستند و تنها راه ارتباطی آنها با فوتبال هم همین تلویزیون است. بنابراین نباید آنها را محروم کنیم. نباید لجبازی کنیم. البته فوتبال هم حقش را می*خواهد. من شنیدم که شبکه دبی اسپورت حاضر است ۲۵۰ میلیارد تومان برای حق پخش تلویزیونی لیگ برتر ایران بدهد. در گذشته حاضر بود ۱۹۰ میلیارد تومان این شبکه به لیگ برتر ایران برای حق پخش تلویزیونی پول بدهد.

وی ادامه داد: من دیروز شنیدم که قبل از اینکه مسئولان فدراسیون حضور دوربین*ها را در ورزشگاه منع کند از صدا و سیما درخواست جلسه کردند اما هیچ پاسخی دریافت نکردند. درست است که ما شبکه*های خصوصی نداریم و فوتبال باید با صدا و سیما تعامل کند اما صدا و سیما هم نباید از این مسئله سوء استفاده کند و باید شرایط فوتبال را درک کند و بداند که فوتبال اثرگذار است. به عقیده من با وساطت و پادرمیانی می*توان این مسئله را به نحوی حل کرد. به عقیده من برنامه ۹۰ می*تواند بهترین محل برای حل این مشکل باشد. زیرا ۹۰ این جایگاه اجتماعی را دارد که وساطت کند و البته حضور یکی دو بزرگتر مثل حاج*رضایی و نوآموز از فوتبال و یکی دو بزرگتر هم از صدا و سیما باید در برنامه حاضر شوند.

جلالی در مورد برگزاری انتخابات کانون مربیان تهران گفت: طبق اساسنامه کانون مربیان ایران هر استان باید انتخابات خود را برگزار کند و در بیش از ۲۰ استان تاکنون این انتخابات را برگزار کرده*ایم. در برخی استان*ها مثل فارس، اصفهان، آذربایجان شرقی و تهران که در فوتبال قطب تأثیرگذاری هستند باید انتخابات برگزار می*شد. در تهران هم این اتفاق افتاد و جلسه سنگین و وزینی برگزار شد و چند مربی قدیمی و مربیان جوان و آینده*دار در هیأت رئیسه حضور پیدا کردند و همه متقاعد شدند که این تشکل صنفی لازم است.

مجید جلالی در مورد اینکه کانون مربیان می*تواند آینده شغلی مربیان را در باشگاه*ها تضمین کند، گفت: کانون در این زمینه نمی*تواند تصمیم*گیرنده باشد اما می*تواند به عنوان تخصصی*ترین بخش فوتبال طرف مشورت قرار بگیرد و همچنین در زمان*های چالش ایده و طرح بدهد. شاید زمانی یک فدراسیون هم بگوید ما فردی را معرفی می*کنیم و از کانون بخواهد که تصمیم*گیرنده بشود. ما می*توانیم طرف مشورت قرار بگیریم.

وی در مورد اینکه در حال حاضر سه هدف را در کانون مربیان پیگیری می*کند، گفت: اولین هدف ما این است که بتوانیم یک مکانی را برای کانون مربیان تهیه کنیم و از دکتر قالیباف شهردار محترم تهران هم این درخواست را کرده*ایم و امیدواریم که با همکاری شهرداری این اتفاق رخ بدهد. دومین هدف ما این است که عضویت کانون مربیان در مجمع فدراسیون فوتبال طبق قانون تأیید شود که شش سال است هنوز در این زمینه به نتیجه نرسیده**ایم. سومین هدف ما مالیات مربیان است که اشکالات زیادی دارد. بنابراین ما در این سه موضوع در تلاش هستیم و می*خواهیم کانون مربیان را ساماندهی کنیم.

وی در مورد برکناری احتمالی نلو وینگادا از سرمربیگری تیم امید، گفت: من در حال حاضر نمی*خواهم در مورد فوتبال ملی اظهار نظر کنم.

We won't get any better than IRIB, and they are going to have to pay money for the TV rights which should be distributed amongst clubs.

good on iff for this move. this could be a very huge step towards professionalizing our league, if kafashian fails at everything else in our football but succeeds here he will be responsible for causing this huge change. imo he has been a good iff head in spite of many claiming he is the worst thing about our football. seda and sima should pay the going rate for something that brings millions in front of t.v sets. we need to embrace the culture of generating revenue in return of investment. who knows maybe now air time during important games and derbies will be used to generate income instead of mindless government propaganda.

Our so called big teams playing in front of empty stands at Azadi, the "estadiume 100.000 nafari". I miss the good old days, where we used to have 80.000 people in the stadium. Today's IPL is all about money, nothing else.

As a matter of fact in my years of following our football this was the first time not a single member made even the smallest complaint about not televising our football Often after a non-televised match you would read pages of cussing and angry comments by our beloved member, though this time around I was shocked to see the Live thread so clean and stress free, as if nothing happened! hahaha

There is no such thing as private in the Islamic Republic. Even those clubs that are nominally private are indirectly owned by regime elements.
