Taj said that the federation wants to appoint an Iranian coach and I think Mansourian will be reappointed in the upcoming days
Otherwise, he would have been my first choice too.

No matter who they bring in (Hashemian is my choice), we still need to spend money for camps, prep games, facilities and so on. I think a vatani coach can do a better job since they can deal with the players from a personal stand point.
We don't really have a youth system and since we lack all the basics in our football, it will come down to psychology of our individual players and the team. Who can get the most out of them and along the way create a few stars that can help TM? The reason I like to take a chance on Hashemian is maybe he can create something new and position himself as our future TM coach.sigpic

There needs to be cooperation between the coaches, because the final goal is to get U-23 players to make it to the national team. This is not Facebook or Amazon versus Google. It's not Facebook's job to develop junior engineers just so they can flourish and become star performers at google.

These two do not compete ..... rather, they complement each other.
The U-23 coach needs to teach the game, whereas the senior coach's job is not to teach. If a player reaches the senior team and needs to be taught the fundamentals of the game, then the system has failed. It's as if a student taking a differential equation course, asking questions about calculus.
the example you brought about competition would apply to PP versus SS or Zobahan vs. Sepahan. Those need to compete.“It is easier to fool the people, than to convince them they have been fooled." - Mark Twain

Your highschool teacher prepares his/her students for the university. Your highschool teacher does not compete with a university professor. Your highschool teacher focuses entirely on teaching, whereas the university professor already assumes the students have some background and do not need as much hand holding, which leaves more time for the professor to do research.
