Good for our lions to fight the psychological war at its best and win the match. CQ's balls seem to be so hard to crack for Koreans and he wins all arguments. With a coach like this, we can do what we haven't done since 1976. As an Iranian at any given time, I'm behind my team whether on the pitch or on the sore losing psychological battle.
Do not forget the bottles hitting our players in Seoul by the same people you claim to be NICE.
On top of that a bunch of Iranians "fans" have run off to some Korean and board and embarrassed us further by shitting up their threads. If they're sore losers then we're sore winners.pls save us dejagah

But we shall see what happens in the AC.

CQ will know very well how to combine experience with the youth stigma. One friendly game will not be a good indicator for any player. More friendlies are needed and each game will have its unique formation in Asian cup. Even Shojaee in some matches must play as he can penetrate good. Let's see what happens in preparation and at last our awesome coach will decide the right formation that shall be respected as no one knows better than him what's the best for his near to excellent transcript. This guy won't risk his name with a bad formation.sigpicSUPPORT TEAM MELLIIRAN- IRAN - ONLY IRAN

I expected a fight. Ashkan is a true Iranian. I thought the ref stole a penalty from us and at those moment I expected a goal which we got. Good we won them another time and that Means a higher ranking in fifa,
Finally South Korea has a strong side. They played carefully and this time we were more in control of the game

This is reddit's opinion on the goal... everyone said no foul.

The efficiency and lack of cohesiveness is expected since this is the first game in 5 months. Considering this was irans first game and koreas sixth, a great result. Also the korea coach saying this wasnt for revenge was pure bs they were playing a fully competitive game and only made 1 or 2 subs after the 80th minute whereas cq started making numerous subs from 60th minute on.

Great result guys, but we were definitely not the better team and I think it would be a REAL stretch to attribute this win to anything other than gheyrat.
Tactically, we were terrible, had no game plan and this was a very uninspired performance. With such a high profile and experienced coach at the helm of TM, I really like to start seeing a little more consistency and creativity in the team and less dependence on luck and gheyrat - obviously more so than I was seeing under our vatani coaches.
Granted, this was a friendly and some would argue that the boys haven't played together for months (although we did have those two games in Portugal), but what's frustrating me a lot is the absolute lack of tactics and just hoping to get lucky with a goal. And it has been the same tactic in every competitive game or one against a half decent opposition.
In the Qatar game we came out victorious with a single goal compliments of the ref not calling 2-3 penalties against us. Last Korea game and this one, same thing. Nigeria and Argentina same thing. I think we're leaving way too much to chance and if the Koreans had converted one of their chances early on in this game, the game would have turned into another Bosnia result.
CQ really needs to start experimenting with some other tactics and formations. Hopefully someone will start a new thread to discuss the more technical sides of our formation, etc. I'm too lazy - lol, but I think having Hajsafi in D is an absolute waste of his good read of the game, play-making and attacking capabilities. Also, because we're sitting so far inside our half, Shojaei in that position really becomes out play-maker if you think about it, while he's being nothing more than a play-breaker!
