I don't understand how someone can say we miss behaved against these Korean bastards and compare us with the way Arabs miss behaved towards is when we played in their homes? Are these Iranians 12, 13 year old? They way Iranians treated Koreans was decent, and not even 5% of how Arabs disrespected us throughout history.

Did anyone notice how Azmoun went beast mode on the idiot Korean who shoved Ashkan?

No, and I haven't seen the supposed fight scenes or angry Koreans either. Is this just made up stories, or didn't tv show it?

Anybody who thinks this ref messed up is an idiot, kovalenko has always been quality and he was very very fair today as well, I didn't even complain about 1 call.

Look at their recent results . not a good team imo , they lose more than they win
And how ironic that you did not mention that all of the above teams (Except for Jordan) are a class above Asian football standards. Did you expect Korea to smash the likes of Uruguay, Costa Rica etc?

Alireza Haghighi was exceptional as well.

He may be our next captain after Nekounam if he keeps performing like this.

                    First half:
Played like shit in the first half. Too defensive & let them dominate possession. Our level was completely lower because of the number of Arab league players we have and the fact that we have no infrastructure. No passing on the ground, no hustle, no support, & lucky not to concede a goal, which would've improved if we had scheduled more friendlies. Other teams know that we typically start matches slow and lazy. The only good part was our sharp and direct counter attacks.

                    Second half:
More of the same, but stronger defending and a bit better attacking. A bit of good team passing in the 75th minute. Great free kick from Nekounam, and Azmoun was lucky his goal wasn't called off for a foul. Some pathetic Arab-like time wasting at the end from Azmoun & Dejagah, who was our best player, as well as some poor sportsmanship after the final whistle from our team to top this topsy turvy match off.

                    Conclusion:
We need more friendlies & possibly 2 strikers up top! A lucky 1-0 isn't going to cut it!

Thank you CQ for this result.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

I kind of played it in my mind. I have also dreamt the goal of Gucci at 90th min which actually happened earlier. Hehe.

What you guys think? What are the possibilities? Because our defense stays at the World Cup level, one of the best backlines of the World Cup against Asian test. What do you guys think? If Argentina escaped with a last second goal of engineer of goals Messi; would Australia be able to break this defense and our excellent goalie?

I know we are not the best offense but our set pieces and counters are massive. And of course in group stage matches we will see an offensive Iran and we may concede a goal or two. However I'm talking about the second stage where we meet Australia, Japan or Korea or Jordan. In that case we go back to our known in the world PARKING THE BUS status which seems to annoy any team.

                        What you guys think?
What the super terror Bosnia think about it??

The difference is we had to win that game, and play more offensively than usual. Hence, our defense proving it is a little soorakh, and justifying CQ's gameplan IMO.

Also the korea coach saying this wasnt for revenge was pure bs they were playing a fully competitive game and only made 1 or 2 subs after the 80th minute whereas cq started making numerous subs from 60th minute on.
What was TM doing in Portugal last month, with their camp and two training friendlies with Estoril and Benfica? they went to the beach of the week?

No, but they played much inferior opponents than Korea did. Our physicality and stamina was on point today though

i think with azmoun iran can slowly move to a 2 striker,i believe gucci is great but as a lone striker he has to work super hard and cant focus in scoring that well
