Easy, Shojaei should be benched. He proved that today by tripping over himself when there was nobody near him. The team should be a 4-2-2-2 formation instead of the current 4-2-3-1.

I am all for being and practicing good sports, however at the same time I have a hard time understanding some of you folks for being so harsh and condemning Ashkan for that incident, the referee called an out for Iran, so as soon as the ref blew his whistle, he grabbed the ball trying to take it for a throw (A very natural and spontaneous move) however the Korean player jumped on him and started a somewhat fight against him by shoving and yelling at him. What's so wrong about what Ashkan did in that scene, I'd like to hear it from any of Ashkan's demeanor critics, so that it may explain some stuff I failed to see/notice.

        Thanks in advance!

And the post-match press conference I was dismayed by Stielike's trash talk, I was quite shocked to hear such lame and unprofessional statement by a "Once-legend" why does it often happen for the Korea's team to bear such classless coaches I wonder?

Dejagah did nothing wrong. In fact I was very impressed how cool he reacted to Koreans shoving and pushing him.

lol he is still holding on to the ball. the Koreans had no business trying to take the ball since it was our ball anyways, that should ve been a yellow.

What was wrong with the grass? It looked like it was too tall and made the ball slow. I think this is why shojaie tripped over the ball. Any opinion?
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

Wow, I hadn't realized that was our ball until just now - the whole thing makes a lot more sense.

The Korean player put up his hand indicating to the ref that our throw in had gone out, but the ref actually blew his whistle because the ball never entered the field off that throw-in! Not knowing this, the Korean players thought it's their throw-in and Ashkan is holding on to their ball, while Ashkan was waiting for the ref's instructions.

So Ashkan did nothing wrong there and thanks Keano for bringing that up. Even if it was their ball, the Koreans shouldn't have started an altercation there and should have let the ref deal with it with a yellow card, but tempers were obviously running high and they were confused about the call, so I don't think there was any malicious intentions on either side.

Funniest/Saddest part of the game yesterday:

Sorry, for maximum effect, I wanted to loop it continuously, but didn't know how to do that, so you can do it manually.

Thats right Ashkan was the ultimate professional except for that stupid yellow he got for kicvking the ball when he clearly in offsides

That yellow did not matter and I have seen the same from many pros at the end of the game. It also kills a few seconds.

I doubt there was anything wrong with the pitch, otherwise the Koreans would have made the biggest fuss about it (typical of them to complain about the smallest things, like last time they complained about the training pitch, whereas they had trained in our best facility throughout the country (Azadi stadium)

Though one thing that caught my attention and amazed me was the numerous scenes where our players kept sliding and falling, made me wonder if they wore improper cleats or if the pitch was soggy?

I just recently watched the game. After around 20 minutes the possession wasn't dominated by Korea. It was difficult for our team to make many passes but it was much better than I expected. There are improvements happening in my eye.
