9 out of 10 coaches don't invite players that refer to them as "useless" in interviews ..... especially when those players are in their 30's and are going through a career slump

I guess people are caught up in not inviting Khalabarti and Sharifi. First one joined the camp of Aghili and Rahmati with his comments about CQ and second one well who do you drop for him Azmoun? Ansarifard? Gucci? Rafiei? or do we expect CQ to take 5 strikers to AC? Also Sharifi was really horrible in Asian games.

He was better than everybody else in the Asian games. Also what have you seen from Ansarifar or Gucci in the last few months? Have you seen them play? And I'm not talking about a 2 minute clip.

He was better than everybody else in the Asian games. Also what have you seen from Ansarifar or Gucci in the last few months? Have you seen them play? And I'm not talking about a 2 minute clip.

Have to admit just clips from Gucci but watched Ansarifard game ( few that he played). Just read your post again don't you think it is a bit of an ask to want CQ to drop his most effective striker and another talented player for a young player? Considering the immense talent in young Azmoun as a striking force and Rafiei being league top scorer.

He's a very offensive minded player. Therefore he was not (and I guess still not) needed for bus tactics. btw, the same is true about Azmoun, Jahanbakhsh, and Sadeghian. I beg to god that CQ puts these ridiculous tactics away so we can use these talented players in TM.

our players aren't talented enough to play in the style you envision. our best chance is to play a disciplined defensive counter-attacking style

6th day training summary

* Training started at 10:30 in national camp with all the players except Sardar Azmoun who didn't make the training today due to personal matters
* Players entered the field at 10:15 and did their own warm ups
* Beikzadeh is still injured an trains desperately with physical coach and doctors
* From 10:30 players were split into two teams (Red and White) and practiced in a very small boundary between two standard goals which was mainly a "dastreshte" session (basically khers vasat using your hands). The physical trainer then got them doing warm up and stretches
* This part of the practice was mostly about players having fun and joking around playing volleyball and handball with different size balls
* Then the training became hectic and trash talking begin. Players started to pile up on each other like American football to the point that CQ had to step in and stop them. Players got so much into it that Montazeri's cover got ripped and one of the players jokingly asked teammates to stop the "Bararareh" style training (or if you don't know what that is, basically stop the horseplay)
* This part of the training was under the supervision of CQ assistants except Karimi who was just looking [I bet he wanted to join in but was shy to do it in front of CQ, he loves this stuff I remember the horseplay in swimming pool in Germany WC06]
* Things got serious in 11:20 after a short rest. Players were put in two teams (Black and Green), Black team being the main WC team. This part was mostly about crosses and set pieces where Ando, Dejagah, Haj Safi, Gordani and Rafiei crossed the ball for the black team to play as the attacking team and green team to act as the defending team. If the ball was blocked by defenders or punched by the goal keeper then the phase 2 of attack would be deployed to make use of the rebound. In this part goalies were rotated and CQ was very interested in players positioning and he would stop the game to remind them if they were caught out of position. After too many mistakes he lost it and stopped the game and started yelling at them
* Good news is that Frouzan's injury is resolved and he trained with the team for the whole time
* 50 fans watched the training session
* 11:30 Kafashina joined the training wearing sportswear
* In summary training had two parts, part 1 warm up and joking around part 2: crosses from all around the field
* Ando, Ansarifard, Nekounam, Dejagah and Hajsafi got some extra set piece training under CQ after the training was over
* Training finished at 12:15 and will continue tomorrow at 10:30 in Azadi #1 ground

More news from the training session 1, 2

* Official from a football school in Karaj turned up to the training session and asked Karimi and CQ to attend the opening ceremony. Karimi said Yes and CQ asked them to arrange it through his translator
* After the training when some players saw CQ doing set piece training with some players, they did the same training with Markar Aghajanian
* Karimi and Gucci started a shooting competition with a lot of trash talking. Ando was spectating this match and would join in every time trash talking started
* After training Hosseini had a private talk with Kafashina in regards to Pouladi situation (couple of days ago he spoke out about this issue in an interview with Fars News)
