Anyway, if we dont thrash Bahrain by atleast 6, I don't think we deserve to win the Asian Cup. Bahrain is now without a coach 6-7 weeks before AC.
In other news the UAE tied Kuwait 2-2, and Oman tied Iraq 1-1....
From the looks of these highlights...we need to be at our best against the UAE

I never said I was worried about the UAE. But what I did say and do say is we need to cover Sideshow Bob. All the jokes and bashing of these Persian Gulf teams aside, their Sideshow Bob is a good player. Both of those goals involved him, and he was an asset in both plays. As for the other players go, I'm not worried because our team is structured defensively and we are strong defensively. But 1-2 seconds can change everything in a football match.
The most important thing in my opinion when it comes to our team and the Asian Cup, is that we have to win our first match.

Yup.. UAE beat Iraq 2-0 very comfortably..
They have a duo of Omar Abdul Rahman(MF) and Ali Mabkhoot(ST) who have played together for 10 years now..
Quality wise- we are obviously better, but we really need to be at our best game.
We play UAE last, so hopefully we've already secured qualification by then.
A win against Bahrain is an absolute must...frankly, anything less and we dont even deserve to go through. Qatar is a bit tougher but we can win especially on neutral soil. UAE is definitely the toughest and can be the dark horse in this tournament if they don't fall apart mentally.

Persian Gulf Cup Updates (Iran's opponents)
If Queiroz prepares the team mentally (and physically of course) as he said he would do, UAE will not be able to breathe during the game. I watched their match vs Iraq's B team and we should be able to walk past them with the correct strategy. I can't see UAE being able to score any time soon against our defense and I also don't see them being to defend the speed of our wingers. Gucci and Azmoun will be constant threats to them every minute too.
Ashkan will be the Arabs' nightmares guys, mark my words
