PFDC members are so silly and unrealistic with their predictions.. You need to wake up.
Realistically it will be Iran 0-5 UAE

Seriously big lol @ people turning UAE and other sh!tty nations in to beasts..

Guys calm down. UAE beat Iraq not Germany or Argentina.
It's true UAE is looking good and one of the favorites to qualify to 2nd round in Asian Cup for the 1st time but Iran should realistically beat them. Don't be surprised if it ends in a draw though. They could grass-roll for a draw.

If things go to plans, Iran should defeat Bahrain and Qatar.
I'm more worried about Qatar actually. They turn out really good when they face Iran for some reason but if we can beat them in Doha, then it can be done in Australia especially TM being better than that stage. Qatar on the other hand are somewhat at the same level.

UAE advanced to the final in 1996 and lost to Saudi Arabia on penalties. They also finished fourth place in 1992, eliminating TM in the group stage (We got robbed in the final game vs Japan though).

In the Syria game Torki made a bad decision to give a penalty to Syria and send off Japan's goalkeeper. If not, Japan should have won with ease. As for Qatar vs Japan, the ref was obviously bribed by the Qataris. He did everything he could for Qatar (giving them easy freekicks, sending off Japan's defender, ignoring Qatar's dangerous tackles etc) but somehow Japan made it scoring legit goals the ref couldn't disallow. I couldn't stop laughing at Qatar.

I think due to Iran'a lack of preparation firendly games, the order of who and when we play in the AC group stage defenitly
            Favors us.
from the weakest to the toughest
            Bahrain,Qatar then UAE
I believe our boys are gona get better and better by each game and by the time we play UAE
we will play our best n beat them 2-0

AW: Persian Gulf Cup Updates (Iran's opponents)

Preparations weren't optimal so far but we played six clubs, Kuwait, Guinea, Belarus, Angola, Montenegro, Trinidad, Nigeria, Argentina, Bosnia and South Korea this year. With the two additionally planned friendlies we should be quite synced.

Kaffashian has said a couple of times that in the South Africa camp Iran will play 1 club and 2 national teams

Qatar beat Oman 3-1 in the semi final and is off to the final.
Ali Assad Qambar scored twice... he is originally from Bandar Lengeh but got the Qatari nationality after being born and living there.

UAE vs Saudi Arabia up next...

Yes, our friendlies schedule has been disappointing, but CQ has proven that a well conditioned team can overcome lack of high profile friendlies in the preparation stages.
