Koreans are so rude. They consider the goal an offside

Was that a penalty? The handtouch inuttes before?
Even if that was no goal the result would have beena tie. All this Desire for a rematch should end with a tie.
They should have come for a 3:0 victory

If we actually play the 4 other friendlies we're supposed to then we could be in a good position for the asian cup.
What i dont get is why queiroz played a defensive style but last time in tehran we played 50-50 possession style.
The crop of players is the similar too if anything we have more talented players now.
Not complaining about the result but its unfortunate that queiroz sees these players as so bad that they need to park the bus at home.

I just watched the game now and man it was boring. Neither team had any real chances. You could argue our goal was both a foul and an offside. I just love how Nekounam always ends up hurting these Koreans. He has caused a lot of korean tears and I just love it. Finally, Koreans are such classless losers. They cheated their way to medals at the Asian games and in a friendly football match they were throwing punches. Honestly who does such a thing. It wasn't enough that they attacked our players in Ulsan and now they do it again in a friendly? So classless which makes me even happier that they lost to us to a late goal.

Counter-attacking is not the same strategy as parking the bus. If you want examples of the latter watch our game against Korea in AC 2011 where we fielded 3 DMs, defended for dear life and didn't manage to create a single chance for 120 minutes.

Parking the bus means throwing every man behind the ball with little strategy other than hoping the ball just bounces off somebody and goes out, and when in possession just sending aimless long balls away from your own goal to alleviate pressure. God knows we've done enough of that before.

CQ's strategy is based on organized, methodical defending coupled with pressure to regain possession, then attacking with short quick vertical passes to catch your opponent off-guard as they try to transition to a defensive posture. This is not all-out defense and it does create chances. In fact with this exact tactic we created more opportunities against Argentina than even Germany managed to. The problem here is some of us think anything other than all-out attack is 'parking the bus'.

parking the bus, defensive style, counter attack thats not the point. The point is that queiroz doesnt think the players are good enough to play offensive football. He has said numerous times that most of the players play in amateur leagues

I know we're supposed to believe he hates our players, but this counter-attacking tactic has always been CQ's style even when in charge of other teams. Right or wrong, his preferred strategy is focused defending/quick counter-attacking.

well u saw what happened when we played against bosnia. by all means if you want to lose 3-1 every game then lets play attacking football where we get beat on counters.

i dont recall him ever playing this way at home and it is somewhat embarrassing to do so against korea. I am not against it if it brings results but I dont think it was necessary.

When was the last time you saw good fluid football from TM?
I am getting tired of this defensive football.

Yeah I definitely miss that "good fluid football" we used to play under Ghotbi, GN and Daei. Nothing but attacking Jogo Bonito with even better results.

You are critical of this supposed "defensive minded" strategy, yet you ignore the fact that this same "defensive minded" approach, stopped and frustrated Nigeria and Argentina for 180 minutes. If not for the heroic efforts of Messi in the 91th minute, we would have stopped the 2nd best team in the world. Please take a few minutes and comprehend what I just said.
We stopped the 2nd best team in the world for 90 minutes.
Any team strategy that results in the bottom team in the WC, stopping the 2nd best team in the world, is a strategy that works. Plain and simple.
There is a big difference between playing a defensive game because your opponent is beating you down, versus, playing defensive as a strategy. Ghotbi played a defensive game against Korea in AC, and lost. No one can claim that he had a sound strategy in place to counter the koreans. It just wasn't there. Same with GN. He was defending because he was out coached and out maneuvered in the entire game.
On the point you made about the Koreans dominating us. The Koreans did not dominate the game, unless you believe that a game is only played on the offensive side of the pitch.
You seem to believe the best strategy is for us to throw in 4 strikers and yell "bacheh hah hamleh konin" ....
Haghighi had a great game, but as usual, you make it into a negative point by saying that he covered up our player's weaknesses. So, all the great goalkeepers in the world, including the ones that played for championship teams just covered up for their team's low quality of play ???? You seem to not understand that the GK is part of 11 players, and if the GK has a great game, THE TEAM, has great game as well. A GK is not a separate entity. A GK's job is to make great saves and you can thank CQ for tossing out Rahmati and bringing in an obvious athlete in Haghighi with heart. Not one that is afraid to leave the post and grassrolls at the end of the games.
As we saw in the WC qualifying games, this team won when it mattered, and won under very tough conditions. 10 years from now, NO ONE cares if you could put together 6 passes only to fail at the end. At the end of the day, you look at the scoreboard, and that tells you the whole story.

Right. There were so many things wrong with ''MY'' post!!!
                                Lets see.

1- yes, yes. We'll be playing Argentina in Asia cup. Besides I assume you consider UAE as the ''first ranked team'' in the world then, for us to stick to this ''park the bus'' strategy. right?
And by that token, Bahrain would be 3rd or 4th, eh?
God only knows what that makes of the likes of Japan. Maybe they belong to an intergalactic multi-terrestrial ranking and league!!!!

2- domination was quite evident. Not only in possession, but the area of the pitch as well as number of passes on opponents' half and the ease of penetration. Not to mention the number of opportunities a team has inside the box and creating danger for the goalie.

When your keeper becomes the man of the match (as almost the entire a place agrees on), it should tell you certain things.
If you think a little you'd recognize it means your defense didn't hold up all that well. It means although you may set the team on a defensive formation, but if your keeper has to make that many saves, some serious ones, then your strategy has failed.
But only superficial fans seem to think ''no goals conceded, then we played well''!!!!!!
Never thinking beyond the superficial layer, or consider luck or lousy finishing by the opponents or .... .

3- when someone tries to put words in my mouth (your "4 forwards, bacheha Hamle ..." funny remark) or when someone tries to exaggerate something to prove a point wrong, ... well it just goes to prove my point was right and the only way to counter it is through silly exaggeration and twisting of words.

Yes. There indeed were so many things wrong with ''my'' post!! Right.
