First of all, nice to see Dejagah is still a head and shoulder above Asia. Hope this continues. Have we had a keeper with as good a positioning as Haghighi? Maybe not since Abedzadeh have I been so comfortable with the last man. Please don't say Rahmati, because at this point, Haghighi is the clear # 1 and maybe one of the top 3 in Asia.
In terms of attacking football, again based on the second half, all I can say is when we do chose to attack, like the buildup of play leading to our goal, we can be deadly! I understand CQ is playing counterattack defence minded, but we say what happened when Iran pressured, passed well, and used strength and it's height advantage. We probably could have had a PK on the handball just moments before the goal. I guess CQ's organized back to front play might work well against Korea, Japan, and Australia, but against Jordan, Bahrain, UAE and other regional countries I really feel we could loosen the system and attack more.
Every team (even Japan) will get tired, and play will eb and flow, we should take advantage of these situations and put pressure on them, and not just sit back. I doubt any team in AC will be nearly as good as any of our WC opponents, and we should fear no one. We could win this entire thing, which would open doors for our players abroad...who knows, maybe, just maybe (please god make it happen), Dejagah and Co. can return to Europe after this AC spell.
Final note, thank you UHLsport and IFF for making fans pay $90+ for kits we may never see again! WTF is that?!
