Anyone with a decent football IQ can see that in every game Shojai is the cause of hampering our counter attacks (just like in one of the counter attacks he ruined yesterday against s.korea)
The guy is too slow, too indecisive, dribbles too much, unnecesary ''pretty'' playing that results in loss of possesion for our team wich again can result in dangerous devastating counter attacks by TM opponents. Nevermind his emotional rubbish which he displayed again in the Korea game in Tehran.
Shojai adds nothing to the team, just set up a poll on this forum and look for yourself how Shojai is rated by us fans.
I repeat, Shojai is garbage, only god knows why CQ keeps on inviting him.

I wouldn't mind seeing Payam Sadeghian instead of Shojaei, for me its between Payam or Soroush maybe Khalatbari but I want someone younger.
Also did anyone feel that we are missing Pooladi? Hajsafi had a good game ! I seriously hope that Pooladi is left back ... so then Hajsafi can be left winger and Dejagah can move to the middle with JB on the right. That way the Shojaei problem is solved.sigpic

1) You say people here do not like Shojaei. Yes, that is indeed the case. From that, you infer that Shojaei must be a bad player. No, that is wrong. You cannot prove your point by resorting to the fact that you and others do not like him. That's tautological. Just because you and others here think he is a bad player, that does not make him a bad player. In fact, that you and others do not like him bolsters my argument that you and others have preconceptions that cloud your judgment. Again, the fact that you and others do not like him supports my argument, not yours.
2) You say Shojaei is slow, indecisive etc. Again, that might be true, but that is completely besides the point. The point is actually whether there is an Iranian player in his position that would be better than him. Unless you name one, Shojaei can be the worst Iranian player this world has seen, he would still be a legitimate starter for Team Melli. It's about relative quality, not absolute quality. Relative to other Iranian players in his position.

Nah Masoud is not TM material since 2 years now. We have plenty of options better than him anyways. In fact, even half of the starting AMFs of the top half IPL teams would do better than him. Im sure Souroush (or Payam) will be a fine upgrade once he gets used to international games.
Guys like Rafiei, Sadeghian or even Khalatbari are hungry when they play, Masoud plays like he doesn't care and literally takes a big sh*t on our ball possession and crucial counter-attacks whenever he gets the ball. We need someone motivated, active and omnipresent, which I just cited 3 of them, but there are even plenty of better options than Masoud. We can't afford to look after his careless mistakes every time as with our playing-style especially we need to be extra-focused and give 101% everytime we are going forward.
I respect his past contributions for TM but unfortunately I repeat that he is far from TM material now, time to move on and I hope that Carlos realized that.
