Who are our best fullbacks?

I think going into the AC, our clear cut answer for RB is still Montazeri but there is a big question mark at the LB spot given that we haven't seen Pooladi play in quite some time now. I loved Ghafouri's pace and hunger when he came in for Heydari, a real powerful and quick runner.

I personally would like to see Hashem, Pooladi, Montazeri (also movable to CB), Ghafouri, and Beitashour as our fullbacks in January.

I wouldn't be opposed to see Ghafouri start on the left flank either.....I think he could to well there too. I definitely rate him better than Beitashour and I think he has progressed a lot over the last season that I've been following him. Hope CQ gives him more chances.

I would be surprised if ghafouri started for us at left back. I see hajsafi there and montazeri as RB. Ghafouri was good against sk, but that's not enough to say that he would be a starter.

Ghafouri for me is better than Beitashour and Heydari, such a beast for Sepahan. I would say our best wingbacks must be the Lord Hashem himself and Pouladi on the left side, Ghafouri and Montazeri on the right.

However I would play Hajsafi as LB in attacking games like vs Bahrain.

We play heavy defensive counter attacking football. Even our midfielders rarely go forward. Let alone our wide defenders.

Besides, Wingbacks are usually used in 3-5-2 formations. Trust me CQ's ultra defensive tactics don't allow our 2 wide defenders to play box to box. In fact no one is allowed to play box-to-box. We usually just hang out in our own half most of the time.

The question is Pooladi or Hajsafi? More important our right back = biggest problem alongside the Shojaei issue. But that can be solved by moving Dejagah to the middle and having Hajsafi as left winger with JB as right winger.

Modern fullbacks are expected to make forward runs. But that is not to confuse them with wingbacks.

Wingbacks are more attacking and higher on the pitch, so clipsport kinda has a point as we use Fullbacks/Sidebacks. In 3-5-2 formations for example, 2 of the 5 mids generally play as WB, kinda like Hull City for example (Elmohammady or Valencia are examples of Wingbacks).

Pooladi is our best fullback. The other decent options that we have are Beitashour, Montazeri, Hajsafi & maybe Heydari.
