They have, to an extent, the way Rafaiei and Ghafouri did, that is how you test players. Now we shall see what CQ got from testing them, what impressions he got. I guess we won't really know until the AC starts.

no, please carry on ..... after all, it is simply not true that Shojaei is a starter for TM, and until he proves it to us, we need to debate whether he should be a starter for TM.

That's the game in Beirut bro and I'm not denying that was one of his rare good games - not exactly against a football superpower, but nonetheless a good performance. He also had a decent game against Argentina. That's the only two good games I remember from him under CQ and I don't consider that an overall acceptable record considering how many games he has played.
Yes, he had a nice play and gave an assist on that last goal and that's the one I mentioned. Other than that, the 2nd instance you mentioned is not a Shojaei assist - that was Ashkan's cross. And you are counting a pass to Dejagah after which he had to try and dribble past a player and was brought down in the process and got a penalty an assist?!

But this is good, so far we can all agree that he has had one goal and 4 assists since 2011 (all against superpowers Kuwait and Lebanon if I may add ). That's out of what 24 games?
Can you name me one other midfielder in the whole history of TM (doesn't even have to be an attacking midfielder) who is or was a "regular" and had such a poor record - less than a goal every 20 games and an assist every 5 games?! Just one.

Sometimes I wonder if you guys even READ what you write.
X is unproven because x hasn't been given enough chances to prove himself. Mostly because we are stubborn enough to insist on a washed up player with near zero productivity (often negative).

On one hand you don't want the youngsters to play instead of the established ones. At the same time you use this very issue as an argument not to use them!!!

Call me an optimistic fool Doctor, but I believe that when you're dealing with an intelligent bunch (and let's face it, we're all an intelligent bunch), after one side has produced enough evidence and the other side has failed to provide enough evidence to the contrary, eslowly eslowly opinions begin to converge.

i Think he should be part of the squad because of his expirience. U cant drop all older players at once. U need to have players with WC, AFC and European experience. But he shouldnt start, we need young people in our formation.
