UAE and especially Qatar are the worst opponents i can think of.

but vs. Asia's other top 4 teams,Japan,Korea,Australia and Uzbekistan he can not match thier speed or strength

Why would I be mad? I love Shojaei and wish nothing but success for him, but unfortunately he doesn't deliver when playing for TM. On the other hand I would say you are the one who is mad with your desperate attempts of trying to bring 5 (6 soon) year old footage to try to prove he belongs in TM.

Don't worry bro, he will show his value again at the Asian Cup. Just like in the last World Cup where he did quite well according to foreign commentators and objective people, I believe he will shine.

There is no doubt Shojaie is really intelligent on the field. But he is slow. So in this context he was very effective in the first two (defensive) WC games. As some one who has been critical of his performance in TM for years now, I have to admit he really puts his heart in the games.

He played ok against Bahrain. Good dribble & pass in the first half, but he gave the ball away too easily in the second. He can be slow & lethargic, but his experience and vision are needed.

But today Shojaei deserves a little props.
