Slow down guys. No need to play at Shojaei protectors or act like his bodyguards.
If Masoud is criticized it's because he plays poorly. But if he plays well then everyone is happy, not only Masoud fanboys. Everyone wants whats best for the team, that every player play well. This has to be clear.
You really think that those who simply point out his low quality games are sad/mad when he scores and plays well? Really?

Baba this forum is filled with people who have the mentality of a 5 year old, what do you expect.
Masoud is a very good player but lacks confidence...He gets nervous and make stupid mistakes sometimes which results in dangerous situation for our defense or a position that could have resulted in a goal....After his injury, Masoud just became a totally different person...he is slowly getting back, but i hope he stays in top form for us in these games.....

Some are. Go and look at the 4-5 pages where people were making fun of Masoud after he scored a hat trick for a club in Qatar.
Masould does not fit a fast counter attaching team which TM wants to be. Otherwise, he is very technical. Unfortunately we just don't have a player like Parvin, Azizi, or AK8 in this TM.
I imagine this might be his final major tournament as a starter given the emergence of AJ and Ehsan alongside possibly Rafiei . Of course, he'll still be in the squad until at least 2018 given the value his experience brings and the lack of competition. You hear rival managers talk about our team's experience in a manner as if to say they would kill to have it (Qatar's manager talked about it today, too) and it's because of people like Masoud. You can't find that in any new recruit and it's valuable as hell.
He is no doubt better at CAM than winger. Winger was not his position and it was wrong to play him there. His dribbles finally seemed to be coming back, but he is slow in movement and decision making. The fast paced counter often dies off when he starts it, compare it to when Dejagah has the ball how different our counter is. Its not to bash him, I just dont think with his speed he is suited for a quick counter. On a side note, he is the best player at drawing fouls for our team.
I just dont understand how he is doing so much better with his club teams than in TM
Simple:
In his club he isn't under any sort of pressure from the fans but, when he plays for Iran he knows that if he misses a single chance people will start to blame him for everything.
I'm not a huge fan of Masoud but, do you not remember how some plastic fans booed him at Azadi? To get booed by your own fans is the worst thing to happen to any player.
I think tonight showed why this thread and the question ''does Shojaei belong to TM, and why?" is absolutely irrelevant.
In the Asian Cup he had good games.
During the Chile and Sweden friendlies, he was just something else. What a classy and intelligent player, I really enjoyed his passes and vision. He also defended very well.
Now those who doubted him see why CQ thinks he should be a fixed player.

He did well at a lot of short passes in the midfield. Problem was, that wasn't exactly something that TM did a lot of, before these games, so wasn't very easy for him to stand out like he did now.
