What a player he was! IMP he is our second best technically gifted player after Karimi the magician! If he was more of a pro, he would have a much more successful career.

What a legend. But god damn german is an awful language to hear. Anyone else got pissed when the shirin zaboon of Farsi had german blasting over it.

I wish I had seen more of him. Wow, what a team we had in 1998 - with Daei, Bagheri, Azizi, and (soon to be) Mahdavikia all just tearing it up in the Bundesliga.

I wish we had 4 top-level legionnaires now

^ Bad for our Football? He is the one who send TM to WC-1998 France. And he is the one who made practically all Iranian football fans dancing or tears of joy and happiness in theirs eyes. He actually is a player with Ghirat which seems to be lacking in our football these days. He made us proud and he will remain as a true legend in our football.

German is one of my favorite languages actually. It's a very manly language IMO.

I love how Germans pronounce names. Unlike Danes..

i would take one Bagheri over 3 Azizis... The guy is 2 tacos short of a combo plate. Great player no doubt, but not all there. Kind of reminds me of Brasil's Edmundo.

But I recall, many people used to bad mouth Azizi... He was prematurely forced out of the national team. In particular, he was not included for the 2002 World Cup qualifications campaign, and was also benched during the crucial AC 2000 matches. (Note: Azizi had a brief and effective comeback for WCQ 2006.)
