wow what a heartbreaker, hurts a lot to lose a game like that. Now our only chance at ACL 2016 is a miracle through the league

Perspolis not winning is not a big loss for the acl since they are always so inconsistent and rarely have a strong base. Hopefully naft wins it so the 4th place ipl team makes it but padideh would be interesting too.

It's hard to imagine why we have struggled at the U-23 level with such amazing talents available to us. Our 22-24 year old players are all shining in their teams.

On PP's first goal, Taromi received the ball from Makani in between 3-4 Zob players, controlled it, went around them, bolted toward the goal and laid it off for Nouri for a shot. Unfortunately it looked like he pulled his calf in the final minutes of the game and with him went PP's dream of winning the Hazfi Cup.

Full Time: Zob Ahan 2 - Perspolis 1

Zob Ahan defeat the 2nd IPL giant (afte EsEs) and reach the final.

I thought Tabrizi was bright spot. He's been scoring and playing really well for ZA.

Tarami had a single good run but had a lot of screw ups too. That chance in the first half in front of goal he screwed up should have been an easy goal.

I agree that ZA passing system is impressive but PP seems very unlucky with the refs
The only reason you say that is because Javat (the slimy commentator) questioned it but he didn't question the PP goal. Both goals were similar & none were offside.

I only watched sections of the game here and there Rugs jaan, but yeah Tabrizi was definitely impressive too.

But I think it's a bit unfair to say Taromi had a single good run in the game.. He was being marked very tightly the whole game, but despite that PP had 4 good attacks in the run of play, he created two of them and was the recipient in another one where he turned and took the shot. If that's the one you're referring to as a screw-up, that was in no way an easy shot or one that should have been a sure goal. He controlled the ball really well in between two Zob players and did a perfect turn - only his shot wasn't perfect.

Overall though, I think he's more comfortable as a holding striker (for lack of a better term) than an all out striker. You gotta admit that for a 22 year old guy who has only played 20 games in IPL and the Hazfi Cup (excluding his rare appearances for Bushehr a few years back) 3 goals and 7 or 8 assists is pretty impressive. I can definitely see him as a CAM in TM.

Tabrizi sucks, I watch every Zoub game and this guy keeps the team back. As a whole Yahya holds the team back by his conservative strategy and mindset. Why did he start Farhadi who is the weakest link on the offense? Tabrizi worked hard but he is offside 9 out of 10 times, with Hasan Zadeh out I expected him to start with Tabrizi and Shojaei but he surprised by including Farhadi out of all people in the line up and stuck with him for 90 minutes. He also said that he was not happy watching Zoub score against PP and win...

I mean it's impressive if you only look at PP and the last few games.

But when you consider Tabrizi, Bayrami and Nariman Jahan, who are all the same age and have been playing twice as long in the IPL with better stats, then it's not that impressive.

It's just that people are on a Taromi obsession now because he scored a few goals. They did the same with Alishah last season too.

what about the hand touch? Do they give red Card or any Card for a hand touch like that in other countries?

he was already sitting on a yellow, and a 2nd yellow was completely right for his handball.

What a stupid remark. He doesn't deserve coaching Zob. Now that EZ is out of a job they should get him for next season.

he was already sitting on a yellow and if you look closely, he moves his hand up to purposely deflect the ball. if the ball would have gone through, the zob player would have somewhat been on a breakaway. call was 100% spot on.

You sure about that bro? I don't think any of those guys are averaging 0.5 goal/assist per game. For a guy who was playing in Azadegan last year, I think that's VERY impressive - he's got the 2nd highest assists in IPL after Mobali. Alishah would wish!

So is Zob Ahan going to win it all? They look very motivated but Naft Tehran has a lot of quality players to stop them.

Bayrami has been averaging that for the past two seasons in the IPL. He has 22 goals in 60 appearances and 8 or 9 assists.

That's two seasons with Gostaresh, not PP which is full of stars.

Morteza Tabrizi this season has been averaging 1 goal/assist per game. Twice as much as Taromi.

But again Taromi gets noticed because he is at PP.

By the way, Taromi this season has 20 appearances with 3 goals and 5 assists. That's 0.4 goals/assists per game. I'm not saying that's bad, of course for a young player that is good. I'm just saying we should look at all the players.

I don't see that. There were many red players back to defend and still a long way to goal. It was a foul but it is unusual to givea Card to this sort of hand touch and it changed the Destiny of the game. What would you say about the hand touch in Iran Korea game?
