its very interesting how often in iran. teams with worse conditions off pitch, do very well on it. SS Khuzestan, Now naft. Being broke brings the players and staff together like brothers, and the play every game with so much gheyrat like it is their last. Great to see. Hopefully new owner gets them conditions they deserve

The new Naft owners met the players and asked them about returning back Karimi.

Give it two weeks!! I really wish Karimi stick around and get a taste of coaching. There seem to be some FIFA coaching seminars he's in these days in Iran.

Naft changed their kit sponsor to Luanvi (they are sponsoring Panionios as well)

This is no joke. Naft youth players are training on a public green space next to a highway.

stupidest thing I've ever heard on this forum. they are both historical clubs with 50+ years of existence, why would you want to close down one of the oldest current Iranian clubs?

unfortunately, this is bigger than just naft tehran... the country is literally destroyed and its still amazing how these players show up and compete every game.
players not getting paid and depending on their parents for support is just a norm in Iran. I hope to see a day where that ends but right now, Iran is not the Iran of old
