Tanzanian sources mention friendly with Team Melli. It doesn't mention a date for the match and seems to have just repeated the news released previously.

"Tanzania: Iran to Face Taifa Stars in Friendly

IRAN football team has lined up a friendly against the national team, Taifa Stars, as part of their preparations for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, the football federation announced in Tehran.

Carlos Queiroz's team is currently holding a training camp in South Africa, where they are expected to play three friendly matches ahead of next month's Asian Cup. Iran's highly-regarded Portuguese coach Queiroz, who despite an ageing side and chaotic preparation almost took his side into the World Cup second round in Brazil, took 21 players on the trip.

Team Melli will take on Tanzania, Guatemala and South Africa during the near-two-week camp, the federation said, before returning to the Iranian capital for another friendly against Palestine on December 28. The Asian nation defeated Kaizer Chiefs B team 2-0 in their first friendly match in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

The Asian Cup kicks off in Australia on January 9, with Iran playing Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates in the group stages. Queiroz (61), extended his tenure as coach with a four-year deal after coming back from Brazil.

His team's World Cup preparations were hobbled by cash woes, partly blamed on the economic sanctions imposed on Iran as punishment for pursuing a disputed nuclear programme.

Iran are aiming for a good Asian Cup -- their opener is against Bahrain on January 11 -- with Queiroz's next goal being to secure Iran's place at the next World Cup, in Russia, in 2018.

The Asian heavyweight will also play Palestine on December 28 in Tehran. Team Melli will meet Iraq in another friendly in Australia six days before their opening match against Bahrain."

Can we just use our heads here? For 5 seconds?

Media is not allowed to stay for the whole training session. Especially CQ is strict about this. They usually get to stay the first 15 minutes, then doors are closed.

Now, lets dive a little deeper. What kind of training would TM be doing in the first 15 minutes of practice? Stretching, warming up, light exercises, etc...

Ok. Now we know that media is there for first approx. 15 or so minutes. We also know that TM (and every team in any sport in the world) uses the first minutes of practice to stretch and warm up. What can we deduce from all of this?? I will leave that for you to answer.

It crushes my soul when people think they can judge a 1.5 - 2 hour practice session from 10 pictures that were taken in the first 20 mins of a practice.

PerZiano I brought up the issue of Ando being 'out of shape', and no I'm not a fat ass, nor lazy.

Your defence of Ando is weak. Just because he kept up with our WC opponents SIX MONTHS AGO doesn't mean he's in shape at this current moment heading into AC 2015.

Now as a professional athlete that has played at highest level in world football he should know better to manage his fitness because as part of his job, he needs to have the endurance to withstand 90 mins + against international opponents.

Ando's inability to pressure the opponent for a sustained amount of time due to his lack of fitness, will in turn weaken our midfield.

You're just making a lot of assumption to reach the conclusions that you want. Where did you read that media is not allowed to stay for the whole training session? Or that they usually get to stay for the first 15 minutes and then the doors are closed? I'm guessing you're just just making it up to suit your argument.

The pictures from the 16th and 17th completely rebut your argument that media is not allowed to stay more than 15 minutes or that these are closed door practice sessions as do articles that said they were a few TM fans in the stands for the game or the 100's of other TM pictures we saw in previous camps.

Just to make it clear a flat stomach doesn't indicate your are not in good shape. If he can play 90 minutes and CQ is testing his abilities and he is passing I have nothing to question. He's a professional and takes his job seriously.

Those are not just "stretches" or light exercises. They are part of speed and agility training. Very effective and difficult toward the end (after initial stretches).

Guess who's fault it is that national team coach has to spend some of their training time doing this? Club coaches in Iran ...

In fact, the main reason Carlos takes the local players to these camps before the tournament is for increasing speed, agility, and stamina to match international standards ... I am sure we all saw it in WC ... same camp same approach

He will use this camp to filter up those who reach his standards while working basic technical and tactical topics with them.

The main tactical training will begin when 9 main players (mostly starters) join them: Haghighi, Hosseini, Montazeri, Nekunam, Shojaei, Dejagah, Gucci, Jahanbakhsh, Ansarifard.

Aside from 2 "reserve" keepers who mostly likely will see 0 minute of any action in Asian cup, only 12 of these players will be with the main squad. And, only 3 or 4 of these players will get to start for the tournament; My guess is Ando, Hajsafi, Heidari or Sadeghi (depending on game plan and opponent) and perhaps Azmoun or Nouri or Beikzadeh (if benching Shojaei) (Azmoun if switching 4-4-2, Nouri for direct replacement, Beikzadeh to move up Hajsafi for Shojaei). The majority of the 12 will get 0 minute of playing time.

As for Carlos himself not being present in physical training pictures, the training you see is being designed and supervised by their physical trainer. That is not his job nor specialty.
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.
                          Go IRAN!

Once again you suggest that we are to deduce from a hand full of stretching and warming up photos that the team is on holiday in South Africa and not being put through any form of rigorous training!!

Thank you for making my point once again, by reiterating!!

before the wc CQ said it and reporters also mentioned how CQ only allows the media in for the first 15 minutes while they stretch and get ready! the real practice starts behind closed doors.
