their manager went on record to say Gucci isn't in his plans... therefore, it's no surprise he hasn't featured in pre-season.

even though he will likely be nailed to the bench for most of the season, it'll be great if he is forced back to CAFC..!!

comment from Charlton Life Forum on Reza's return...!!
Maybe we're doing a "simon Church" on Reza ie if you won't go we'll make you sit out your contract in New Eltham playing with the U21s
Bikey, Reza, Polish Pete, Wiggins, Harriot. That U21 side is gonna be strong this year.
CAFC Coach/Luzon.Guzaan certainly doesnt rate him, he had him shipped to CAFC in first place from Standard Liege..!!
Ps
TBH, Reza is a whole different player, when he plays for TM than his clubs..!!
i think its fair to say that he doesnt put forth even Half the Effort when playing for his Clubs as he doesn when adorning a TM shirt..!!
so, its no longer a secret to clubs and that was a big reason he got shipped out of Standard, benched often at CAFC, and for fk sake even benched long term in his shitAss Ku8 and Gutter teams or was unable to land himself another $ucker arab team for this season..!!
he really has to step it up big time in training to be given a chance to play in CAFC...!! that is if he doesnt get shipped to their U21 Team to rot away the season..!!?

over the last week or so quiet a few charlton fans seen reza in training at CAFC..!
Tonight he is Surprisingly made the bench in Friendly vs Southend United..!!
many Charlton fans are surprised and sorta pissed, assuming he was very unlikely to even make the squad for this year...!!especially since they only got one more friendly before season kickoff vs qpr, and many of the high profile new signees are left from tonight's squad ..! i think tonight's squad are full on the fringe players, Reza including..!!
this may well be his one and only chance to impress the coach and make the CAFC main squad for upcoming season..!!
atm, he is considered 4-5th choice on the strikers chart..!!
apparently charlton owner, RD, recently sold Standard Leig, (probably thats why reza's earlier rumored move back to Belgium fell through..!!? ) so currently Charlton is the highest profile team still owned by RD and his crew..!! there is a big money involved in promotion to EPL, hence it seems they have been pumping some money in this transfer season, trying to make a push promotion play-off...!!
theve signed some good prospects and apparently a bunch of Narre-khar, big, physical players, headlined by a 6'7" Danish Striker, Simon Makienok..!! im guessing they are going for the traditional English Wing&Cross tactics, but also now have some decent talent on the wing and AM positions, so who knows ..??
doubt if there is gonna be any TV feeds for tonight's game, but some highlights afterwards perhaps..??
lets hope our boy gets a sub in and shows his class and inches closer to making the CAFC First Team squad..!! he probably could play very well off a big striker like the great Dane, Makienok..! but not so sure Luzon likes the 2 striker or single frontman lineups..!!?? if i recall, he preferred 2 strikers during reza's time in Standard Leig..?? anyways the more, the merrier...! more chances for minutes for Reza..!!
they may just be show-casing him tonight, in hopes of finding a suitor or offloading him on loan elsewhere in the league..??
cafc's best striker from last season is currently injured/unfit, which is a good thing for reza's chances and a week or so back Luzon(cafc coach) had mentioned that "he is likely to keep at least 4 strikers in squad for the season, each with different set of stregnths and qualities, and use whomever he is in best form and best fitted for each game..!!"

FT 1-2
CAFC Loose
Reza gets about 10-13 minutes, while they were down already 1-2...!
sounds like he was involved and didnt play bad particularity ..! won a CK, made a few passing combinations and narrowly missed to contact a cross and chance on goal..?
i think he will make the 1st team squad nonetheless..!! he may not be big and strong enough for Championship football but somewhere along the line CAFC gonna need his quality, pace and finishing touches..!!
