bad news he is one of Six strikers..! (Makienok, Vetokele, Watt, Reza, Pigott, Ahearne-Grant)...!
probably 4th choice ..? but with Vetokele still unfit, may be fighting the last two mentioned above for 3rd pick..!!?

The Championship has a very long season. Throw in Cup games and it gets even longer.

Last year one of the reasons Charlton started to distance itself from the promotion race was because they lacked depth, something they have acknowledged themselves. Keeping Reza is a depth move, so they don't have to play the same players in a 40+ game season.


He will not start every match, he will not be subbed in every match. But if Charlton want to go the distance, Reza will get his fair share of game time. No team in that league can use the same select players all year and want to promote.

^ Very true, its a very demanding league and they lost their momentum like 2/3 the way through.

We all know Gucci is a very capable striker and has proven again and again that he does not crack under pressure, in fact, he seems to be better under pressure.

Lets hope he can have a successful season at Charlton, it surely seems like he is motivated. It would be great to have 4 attacking players in Good league teams (JB,Ansarifard, Azmoun, Gucci).
