I don't get what people are complaining about our squad not being able to win it all. Look at that team. One of the best team melli's we have had in Asian Cup. Much better than AC 2007 and AC 2011 overhyped squads. We've seen what some of these guys are capable are of in WCQ and WC which was impressive. The others such as Rafiei, Ebrahimi, and Ghafouri showed they deserved to be in the squad with their motivated displays when they came on as subs in Azadi vs. Korea in the recent friendly.

Despite Davari missing out due to poor form/recent injury, Beriravand is a much better replacement IMO. Only players that haven't proved themselves in TM are Forouzan, Amiri, and Pouraliganji since they haven't played for TM. Other than that, this is one sick squad. Let's go TM!

No offence to the players mentioned but at least this squad does not consist of players that resemble Enayati, Khatibi (screwed us in PKs vs. Korea), and the infamous Pejman Nouri

What's wrong with Pejman Nouri? Guy gave maximum effort each time he appeared for Iran and was usually pretty solid. He was selected by multiple coaches for TM from I believe Branco all the way to CQ. Must have been doing something right. He is old now, but at his prime he was an excellent utility player. He could play in a number of different positions. There have been much worse players for TM over the years, especially on the defensive line. Anyone remember Badavi? Ebrahim Taghipour anyone? Alavi? Mahini? OstadAsadi?

Really glad Rafiei made it. Guy has been playing out of his mind for over a year only to be pushed to the sidelines for dumb technicalities. Hope he gets to play.

You are right. I have mostly seen his games in esteghlal, where he was not very good. so, I am biased.
