Interview with Heshmat Mohajerani, legendary TM coach

Guys, This interview was shown today (27 DEC, 2014) on IRIB 3.
It's very, very, very much worth watching. Lots of great memories and footage from Asian cups, Montreal olympic and WC 1978.
Mohajerani tells some great stories from those times and how he believes we had the potential to go to the next round in 78, if it wasn't because of those penalties.
Here is the video, it's 43 minutes long and again worth the watch. The guy who interviews him, Hamid Reza Sadr is very good, very knowledgable.

He also talks about how in Montreal olympic, we got eliminated in quarter finals after we lost to soviet union 2-1. He says one of the soviet players had two yellow cards and wasn't supposed to play in the game against Iran, he says we complained but we didn't had the power to make the olympic committee listen to us and kick out soviet union.

such a shame, we could have gone to the semi-finals.

My dad says Iran was already starting to build an Olympic village for athletes in the late 70's as it was shahs plan to host a summer Olympics game in Tehran.

I can't believe that if it wasn't for the Islamic revolution, Iran would've hosted the Olympics.

      Such a shame it didn't quite happen.😔
