4 years ago Ghotbai almost did the right thing at group stage and only in match against korea he clipped the wings of TM just to let Korea win (not saying intentionally). He could have attacked offensively and could have defeated Korea.
One cup was lost because of that. One cup was lost because of penalty kicks against saudis and one cup was lost due to losing to China because of the referee. CQ will not allow this cup go away. He is the smartest coach if you compare him with every other coach and he has a good team. No coach has ever had so many back up players on bench and also so many good goalkeepers. We used to worry what to do about Mirzapour if he got hurt. look at the situation now.
We shall win.

The moment I realize that this is Nekounam's final tournament for Team Melli.

Javad Shireh. He deserves to end his beautiful career with being champion at the Asian Cup. We will probably never have a DM as good as him...definitely my favorite TM player of all-time. I have three TM jerseys with his name on the back of it. When he retires he will be greatly missed..he's the heart of the team.

He now has played 184 official games for Osasuna, 16 more and he will have a record with 200 games...I expect a very huge gesture from Osasuna when he quits his career as footballer. With IFF's mismanagement, it's not realistic to expect a normal ceremony for our legend. Look at Mahdavikia...
