Its obvious that Bahrain will park the bus, frustrate and hope for ONE crucial point .

This is their strategy! They will then go after UAE for a win and hope for a draw with Qatar. This has been Bahrians strategy from years back when playing with Iran. They only way to destroy them beyond hope is an IRan goal within the 1st 25 minutes! This will send their pathetic little plans into a tail spin and from then on, they must play an open game and that's where IRan will eat them!!

^ I'm hoping for a brutal rape in all our group matches, where our boys show absolutely NO mercy!!

A championship contender has a tendency to get off to a slow start and raise their game in their knockout matches. I expect a struggling 1-0 win.

It's ok that Bahrain loses to us considering we are the strongest team in the group.

They will be parking the bus, grass rolling, fouling, swearing, doing whatever they can to get us off our game. But our team is strong, confident, and we have the skill to work through it. (Plus although we don't have Kaebi for fights, we have a more intense Dejagah )

best music video before iran's game. get's me pumped p3rSian style everytime our beloved TM is about to play.

remember guys! no matter what happens. faghat TM. Even if on bizarre circumstances, we draw/lose this game (unlikely), let's keep supporting Iran. Teams have lost/drawn a first match before and won the whole thing in dominating fashion before. Let's go IRAN!!! DOO DOO DOO IRAN

The Australian website, the age, reports: Iran, so far away from home, are proving the second-hottest ticket this summer. After the Socceroos, "Team Melli" fans have purchased the most tickets of all the competing nations, with the local Iranian community in Australia the driving force behind the sales. Community leaders have been working with the local organising committee as part of a promotion scheme, with one Melbourne individual solely contributing to the distribution of more than 3000 tickets for their opening game against Bahrain on Sunday. The Iranian diaspora in Australia is proving a patriotic and close-knit community that arranged for up to 10,000 tickets for Iran's second game against Qatar on Thursday in Sydney. The Japanese community are the third-highest take-up for tickets, with China, South Korea and Iraq close behind.

Thats great to hear, in 2006 we got outnumbered in Germany during our 1st match against Mexico. There are around 150000 - 200000 iranians in Germany compared to maybe something like 5000 Mexicans
