Lack of friendlies, these facilities, chaos in management as usual. It's the Islamic republic recipe for failure.

Honestly surprised to how CQ is still with us!! The man deserves so much more than the IFF

Our country is full of talents and we can be number one in all sports IF Everything So politically controlled. Japan will win this one without a problem.

Seriously guys. What is wrong with those facilities. The pitch is perfect and they are in a small town which allows for good interaction between locals and the team with very minimal distractions. Sounds ideal to me for a team wanting to win it all.

Honestly some of the people on this site are continually negative and never see the good in anything. What a sad way to live life.

The training photos showed me a good pitch and a group of dedicated players and coach going through whatever they do at training.

Thats what is important. I also would assume CQ knew where they are going and as much as I would love them here in Melbourne, I just dont trust these boys in a big city with all the temptation. I saw first hand in 97 what "sheitooni" these guys get up to.

Looks like no one lives around there anyway so why should it be closed. Plus it looks like it is surrounded by tall trees which makes it much more pleasant than a fence. So if CQ is happy with it and I hear no companies from players then it should be fine. TM will not expend the entire time there they will move around and practice at various facilities.

Because not every federation is as incompetent as IFF. Teams will be scouting us, and have easy access to watching TM practices and training. At this stage in the game we should be guarding our tactics as much as possible. I mean on one hand CQ sits on a bus and avoids the media and then on the flip side we have training facilities that are open to the entire world?

I live in Sydney and I can assure you all that people do actually live in the Northern Beaches, where Team Melli is based, and it's actually one of the most expensive places in Sydney to live. And from the times I've been to the Sydney Academy of Sport I can also assure you that the facilities are great. The last time the IFF organised a trip for Iran to Australia was for an Olympic Games qualifier in 2007. They were based in Cronulla before heading off to Adelaide. The Northern Beaches is much nicer than Cronulla and it's a lot closer to central Sydney.

So how easy would it be for you as a fan to watch TM train at these facilities? Should TM be concerned about potential scouting and spying during training?

CQ: We consider playing against Iraq as a part of preparation to play Bahrain. We will try to do our best against Iraq. CQ also said we count on our Iranian fans here hope they will be with us throughout the tournament. On South African camp CQ mentioned the weather is similar to here plus teams were willing to play us.

I'm pretty sure the Sydney Academy of Sport is a closed facility. But as with most parks in Sydney, if you really wanted to get inside, you'll find a way. There's decent professional grade parks everywhere and it's not that hard to get inside.
I personally would love to watch them train but am not sure of their movements. If anyone knows, please let me know

We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.
