I recall people saying very similar things in AC 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2011. There needs to be a sense of unspoken urgency among fans. Let's not assume anything upfront and aggrandize ourselves needlessly. Iran did not prepare well for this tournament. If anything comes out, it will be because of resourcefulness of the team and their coaches. I am constantly disappointed with the level of simplicity of thought I encounter on these forums.

Maybe its simple minds that come up with simple thought and I am sorry that this disappoints you. Or maybe its many years of living in the Middle east where hope is all you have.

Iran had an excellent team in 2000 and 2004 and if it wasn't Ali Daie's silly mistake or Yahya's chip pentaly shot we could have won those titles. I didn't believe in our team in 2007 or 2011 much but with I believe in CQ and this team.
