    Azmoun's goal:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JitpOO6kMq8

Overall, it was an improvement from the South Korea game. Good high press in the first half, and good one touch passing in the second. The legionnaires barely gave the ball up and showed that they're of a higher caliber while the IPL players missed their chances badly. Let's hope this single warm up will get us ready for our highest continental stage.

Mubarak bashe. A light statement of Intent. I doubt we will see the repeat of the Bus in AC.

How many friendlies has Iraq had compared to Iran!!!? Friendlies or not 2 major points will always go for Iran

      1. We have in CQ a manager that can tactically, mentally and physically prepare TM beyond our comprehension
      2. Iran has talents and grit beyond it's Asian counterparts

MR Karimi where is treason in supporting this team?

Bring on Bahrain and the Arab triangle, Bermuda Iran awaits you dearly!

We all WANT Ansarifard to do well but I have to say that its a GREAT shame that a young and talented player like Sharifi is left out for Ansarifard who literally hasnt done anything for TM in the recent years. Apart from his goal in that meaningless Kuwait match.

Too many substituations the last 30 mins to really rate it game wise, or even how the senior players played, I think it was mostly for them to get match paractise.
Overal I'm happy with this friendly and not because of the result.
Finally we saw a friendly that was used for a what a friendly is for: test out stuff. I noticed a few things and I'm sure Q got a lot more out of it than I can see.
Azmoun is a gem; this Asian Cup could be his breakthrough on the big scene. Some of the new players look promising too; Bereivand looks like he will make a great backup goalie.
I take back what I said earlier about Ansarifard: I think it was actually a smart move by Q to use him as a captain so that he becomes more assertive. Playwise he didn't shine in this game, but didn't suck either; he was actually ok and most importantly did have more bite than he used to which I liked; I see no reason to give up on the guy, although I would clearly start Azmoun over him (and even Gucci).

Amiri was stellar besides his lack of finishing. His speed, timing, placement. His work rate was also great.

For me the best player was without a doubt Rezaian

I am sure in the eyes of CQ these 4-5 players from our reserve team stood out today.

                    Ramin Rezaeian
                    Vahid Amiri
                    Sardar Azmoun
                    Pour Aliganji
                    (Soroush Rafiei)

If you pay attention to the team that played today, these three players Rezaeian, Amiri and Pour Aliganji played the full 90 minutes. I think CQ kept them in the match because he was satisfied by what he saw from them and hence wanted to give them valuable playing time and a chance to adapt to the main team that came on during the 2. half.

The reason I also mention Sardar and Soroush in that list is that the first one scored a beautiful goal and a winner for us and the latter played in a very difficult position as CAM and did pretty well.

Keep in mind that many of these above mentioned players were either debutants in TM or had just played 1-2 matches before which makes it even more impressive from them.

This Iraqi team was no push over. They missed a penalty and hit the post once. I am sure they can do better in the AFC games since this was a test game.
                        Ebrahimi and Rafeiei was great
I was not so impressed by Amiri since he missed so many opportunities
JB is functioning good in this CQ team
Dejagah loses temper like in South Korea game
Forouzan has a long way to become a good keeper.
                        Azmoun makes Progress.

Like always CQ doesn't show his best team before the real games so I wait and see.

Our main team should stick 2-3 goals in either Jordan or Iraq' goal in Semis, we never had such an easy road to Semi-finals, no excuses to make it.

Also I hope CQ understood that Masoud is no more than a bench player. Souroush is clearly a big upgrade, very technical, sharp and hungry to win, hope he starts.

Side note: I was most impressed by Rafiei.
