Iran has all the natural resources in its soil. It is a blessed land. As far as I know the coffers of the Iranian Central Bank is full with no debt.

what i want to know is where is the money fifa paid us for qualifying and participating in the world cup? the players did not receive a dime apparently neither has cq or coaching staff so who did? how can we not have money for friendlies when we received millions from fifa not even 6 months ago? if they dont spend money on football that is something but to spend football's money somewhere else is another.

The sad thing is that Iran is a sanctioned pariah, isolated from the world community. Its a travesty and absolute crime for a country like Iran to have such a status in the world.
Sanctioned by the very country that is militarily controlling the gulf, United States, which is allied with our Arab enemies across the Persian Gulf. You dont know whether to laugh or cry at that.

Horrible situation to find ourselves in, given our large size, and our cultural and geostrategic importance. To joke about "Arabian Gulf" seems like not the worst thing you can do in this day and age. Its just a reflection of the tragicomic situation of us Iranians.

National identity imo should never be the subject of jokes, it is like joking about yourselves and this can be the start of some bad trend that can cause rifts among the society and ethnic groups. If we as Iranians do not use the name of Persian gulf then who will?
