Australia vs. Kuwait [AFC Asian Cup 2015] - Date, Time, & Live Updates

I genuinely hope Australia can go as far as possible (without knocking out Iran), but I doubt our defence is any good.

During the WC, a defender like wilkinson was old and slow. We need younger, faster, and overall better defenders even though we are vs lesser opponents.

The good news is Ange (Aussie coach) will probably decided to go with Sainsbury(22, PEC Zwolle) instead of Wilkinson (31, jeonbuk motors).

We have problems upfront as well with Cahill being still dependant upon even though he is 35 and playing in MLS. I believe that troisi is playing well and scoring goal in Belgium and should be given a go upfront. Even leckie is doing very well in Germany so I think we shouldn't just rely upon Cahill to provide us the goal.

In goalkeeper, even though Ryan is goalkeeper of the year in Belgium with club club Brugge, first on the ladder, through to the next round of the Europa league, I still can't forgive him for his mistake that let Hollands Depay to score from that far out against us in the WC. It's hard to believe we were that close to beating Netherlands.

Maybe langerak should start since he is playing regularly at Dortmund lately.

Australia's defence should be strong in this tournament with the adjustments their new coach has made and they will be on local support!

Ryan has had those bloopers but I still think he should start ahead of Langerak. Both are good keepers though! In terms of experience and pedigree, Ryan is ahead.

PS: I bet Cahill will not be starting games for Australia. He will their super-sub. Even if he starts, I don't think he will last 65mins. Aussie's team pressing game will not suit Cahill's age. He still got the shot and headers in him though

Even though Cahill has done the buisiness time and time again for the Socceroos, I don't want to see him start. The guy is only a year younger than Karimi; he shouldn't be allowed to start. Even though he isn't much younger, I do still think that we should start with Bresciano as he would provide some spark from the heart of the midfield.

As far as untested youngsters, I think it's time Luongo gets some game time. The kid has been in every squad since WC, but barely gets any game time. I still wonder a guy of his quality, why is he playing for a League one side (3rd tier).

I also don't want McGowan to start. His decision making is no better than our own Khosro heydari. I would much rather an Aziz Behich. He has been an integral part of Buraspor this season in Turkey.

Tim Cahill is still killing it at his age. He is Australia's best player, no way he will be benched.
