This Australia that we saw will most likely win the tournement. It was a good game to make us more realistic about how good we have become. Q8 may surprize South Korea. Australia was too good but maybe south Korea.

Awesome offense by Australia. Crap defense! Id be interested to see how they go against Oman.

I have a feeling that Korea and Australia will meet Uzbekistan and China in the QF's. Uzbeks have a very stingy defense, and may give Korea or Australia major problems. They may even be eliminated.

I'm calling this now, Korea eliminated in the QF's by Uzbekistan. That will be the shocker of the tournament. Uzbeks will make a final 4 appearance again.

Australia is going to win the Asia Cup, the way they played tonight. I've never seen them this good.
Off course it was "just" Kuwait, but still.

Highly physical, offensive and fast paced football. And then off course, there is the home advantage which can not be underestimated.

A lot can be said about peaking too early....tournaments are about timing

we just have seen one game involving two teams in the tournament, let's not call who will become champion just yet. Kuwait is the weakest team in that group, Oman is much more stronger and South korea, well, we all know they are good as well.

I rather meet Australia in a semifinal than South Korea !!

Nothing can be deducted from this game. People see goals and become excited. Australia won't look as good vs SK and Oman, we can say that they look extremely weak at the back. Personally I would like to play them in Semis, I think that Iran would do very well against this type of team by breaking them on each counter.

Tbh beating Kuwait 4-1 does not get them bonus points....It was expected considering how Kuwait was terrible in the Persian Gulf Cup. Iran beat Bahrain 6-0, Korea beat Lebanon 6-0 and Japan beat Jordan 6-0. Let's see what the Aussies can do against Oman and Korea.

Typical reactionary post. Dude, it's the first game. People were saying all the same stuff about Brazil in WC 2014 after they played a "physical and smart" game.

Then they ran into the German wall. Hopefully there will be an Iranian wall this time around in the semis and another 7-1 humiliation of the hosts.

All this crying and bahooneh of "Japan will win! No wait, Australia will beat Kuwait, they will win!! No wait, Korea beat Oman, they will win!!!"

Stop being so doom and gloom. Iran is in the perfect position to win the cup as well, and it's still anyone's ballgame. Support your team man. Don't give the trophy to Australia after beating a Kuwaiti team that had 1% of possession in the second half when they were trying to go ultra-attacking lol.

What makes you think I dont support my team?
I was just making a prediction. I was predicting Australia to win Asia Cup before this match. This match just confirmed that they have young energetic and highly creative players.

Australia's defense is too shaky for a title contender.

They have the offensive capabilities to make up for it. Australia is going to the final.
I hope to eat my own words though.

                                same here.
Our luck vs them is expired
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.
